General Hospital Spoilers – Two Bullet Wounds Plus Murky Water

Two bullet wounds plus murky water in the harbor could easily equal a potentially deadly infection for Lucy, especially considering she’s been missing for a couple days. She had been missing long enough for the Coast Guard to declare a recovery mission instead of a rescue mission, meaning they’re looking for a body. Like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in Nixon Falls, she could have easily washed up unconscious somewhere and not have been easily found, possibly in seaweed or other vegetation.

Earlier, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) finds an unpleasant surprise, and if it’s Lucy it would be unpleasant because of her condition. Lucy would be rushed to GH immediately.

GH Spoilers – Coma Likely

Lucy could be found clinging to life in a comatose state, considering the amount of blood she likely lost while in the water. She was shot in the area of the ribs, which means her spleen or other internal organs could be compromised. A life threatening condition called sepsis, which is a type of blood poisoning is likely and that would be a reason Finn, an infectious disease specialist treats her.

All kinds of nasty infections could have entered Lucy’s body, as well as maggots or other microscopic parasites, and Finn’s an expert with those kind of things. Lucy may be laid up for a while if she’s got severe internal injuries, blood loss, and infections besides; she could even have brain worms, which Finn treated before.

General Hospital Spoilers – Hamilton Finn Struggles To Save Her Life

After being in the water and washed up on shore for several days, Lucy could be suffering from exposure as well, and Finn may struggle to save her life. But as Sonny told someone, never count Lucy out; she’s survived everything from vampires to Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) although she may be on life support for a while.

Lucy could have tried to swim for a while or have been carried along with the currents before either crawling ashore or being washed up.

She is likely to require blood transfusions and other extreme lifesaving measures once she is brought to the hospital and will probably require a ventilator. Intravenous feeding may be required as well as intravenous antibiotics and possibly antifungals and antiparasitic medications to combat any parasites, but Lucy’s a fighter, she will survive.
