General Hospital Spoilers: Franco Breaks Elizabeth’s Heart, Nikolas Consoles Her – Friendship Turns To Love?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) could need someone’s shoulder to cry on following the insults thrown her way by Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). GH fans know that while Franco was sorry for unintentionally hurting Elizabeth’s feelings and he apologized, she was still quite upset when she left his little art therapy room.

Many GH fans believe that Elizabeth and Franco are one of the nicest couples on General Hospital. There’s a lot of people who like seeing Franco and Elizabeth together. They feel it these two GH characters belong together. People can tell that Elizabeth cares for, and loves Franco. In fact, it’s because of her love for Franco that Elizabeth was recently so upset with him.

Viewers know that Franco and Elizabeth’s family have been experiencing some financial difficulties of late. While Elizabeth apparently makes just enough to keep the family going from paycheck to paycheck, it’s not something that Franco feels is sustainable. Moreover, Franco feels terrible about that fact. It’s clear to many GH fans that Franco is having a crisis of self-esteem. He hasn’t been able to provide the way he feels he ought to, and so Franco has frankly come to the point of compromising his personal and professional reputation.

It’s this fact that upset Elizabeth more than anything else when she discovered Franco’s plans.

GH Spoilers – Franco Baldwin And Elizabeth Webber Fight

Now, viewers watched as Elizabeth and Franco verbally duked it out. Actually, it was more like Franco whining and trying to justify a decision that Elizabeth viewed as foolhardy and Elizabeth finding all the reasons Franco was wrong. Every long-term couple has arguments, but some feel that Franco might have pushed his luck with some of the condescending, man-splaining behavior he displayed toward Elizabeth. Even though he apologized profusely and asked if he and Elizabeth were “good,” it was clear from the look on her face that no, they were not.

Elizabeth went back to work, Franco headed over to Ava Cassadine’s (Maura West) house in order to finish his portrait of her, and Nikolas came wandering into General Hospital’s nurse’s station. Of course, Elizabeth was still furious with Franco and she snapped at Nikolas. However, Nikolas played the gentleman (why he can’t do that with Ava is anyone’s guess) and suggested that Elizabeth might want a friend to talk with.

While there are some GH fans who will be quick to believe that all of this is leading to a moment when Nikolas and Elizabeth could get back together romantically whether or not they leave their respective spouses, others say “Not so fast.” Right now, Elizabeth definitely still loves Franco, and just because they had a bad argument doesn’t mean she’s going to ditch him for the Prince of Nothing. After all, Elizabeth is still just as furious with Nikolas over how he treated his son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel), as Spencer is himself.

With that said, everyone knows that Nikolas and Elizabeth have a long history. Throughout the years they’ve remained close friends despite Nikolas’s many personal failings. It’s quite likely then that GH fans will see Elizabeth confide in Nikolas concerning her present troubles. Will we see an Elizabeth and Nikolas romance?  Will she fall in the Cassadine Prince’s arms?
