There’s no reason for Aiden to be bullied, and there is no reason for the school to have preconceived notions about what activities and interests should be appropriate for boys, and which ones for girls. Apparently the school system in Port Charles is way behind the times; for years there have been many outstanding female athletes, for instance, but their athletic activities had nothing to do with their personal lives; as there have been many famous male chefs going back years and their culinary abilities and interests had nothing to do with their personal lives as well.
But this school system can be expected to have no male teachers and no female principals because of preconceived gender roles, and indeed, there may be no male personnel in the school at all, even though both men and women have been professors and teachers going back years as well!

If General Hospital (the hospital itself) had held the same gender role notions that the school and the bullying children seem to, General Hospital fans would never have been graced with the presence of Dr. Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander), Dr. Gail Adamson Baldwin (Susan Brown), Dr. Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson), or any female doctors! In the Port Charles Police Department and the WSB, there would be no females in leadership, and no female business owners or leaders either.
On the other hand, GH doesn’t seem to have any male nurses; they’re all doctors or lab personnel. But the point is, Aiden is only ten years old; and should not be bullied in the first place, and certainly not just because of his activities, hobbies, and interests! Stay tuned to GH and check General Hospital spoilers frequently to see how this important storyline on the subject of bullying is resolved!
