General Hospital (GH) spoilers have got some viewers up in arms over the way a certain set of besties interacted recently.
Is it possible that one of them wasn’t his usual gracious self because a past medical procedure went awry? Or at the very least that the op left a few screws loose?
The encounter went down this week following a shocking announcement about Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and her supposed involvement in nefarious doings that had been attributed to Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Apparently, no one was willing to believe that Liesl was innocent, not even Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).

Franco heard via Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) that Liesl was sitting in a jail cell in part because she was the one who tried to kill Franco, among a spate of other crimes.

Post-operative Franco said he didn’t know what to think, whereas pre-operative Franco would have sworn that his buddy was innocent and this was all a bunch of rubbish.
Long ago they formed a friendship based on their mutual oddball characteristics and the fact they were generally shunned by the rest of Port Charles.
So why in the world would Franco turn on Liesl now?

The only big difference that’s transpired recently has been Franco’s unfortunate take-over by evil-doers who forcibly gave him another man’s memories.
After a lot of drama and last-minute heroics, Franco underwent a second procedure in which the other man’s memories were removed and Franco was effectively restored back to himself.
Or was he? He looks like Franco and talks like Franco but what if there are complications arising from all that he’s been through? After all, it’s not every day that you go to bed one person and wake up the next morning as someone else!
At the jail, Liesl told her friend that everything he’d heard was a lie and of course she didn’t try to kill him. Franco was filled with doubt and began to fill in the blanks about her possible motives.
Incredulous, Liesl tried and tried to get through to him, to no avail. Is that because he really isn’t the old Franco she knew and loved?

Franco is now Franco again. Franco was not convinced of Liesl’s guilt until she brought up Peter. Franco knows how much she does not like Peter. Peter did save Franco’s life in the end. I am sure that at some point Franco will support Liesl in some way. I am sure that Liesl will be alright. I hope that Peter will be able to make it up to Liesl in some way that he framed her. I want Peter to get back on a better path. Peter and Liesl love Maxie and James. I want things to work out in the end.
