General Hospital spoilers for Friday, July 17, are in! Fans can expect to see Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) drop some shocking news, while Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) stuns Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

Plus, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) deceives, as Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) sizzle. Find out more about Friday’s episode below.

Ethan Lovett Shocks His Sister

General Hospital spoilers for Friday, July 17, hint that Ethan will shock Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening). It looks like he’ll mention his time with Ava Jerome (Maura West), and as he talks about the art gallery owner, he may reveal his fondness for her.

In the promo for Friday’s show, Lulu is shown looking completely caught off guard as she asks her brother if he’s interested in Ava.

 

With that said, Lulu will also give Ethan a warning, so it sounds like she’ll advise him to stay away as far as possible.

In related news, Ava and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will interact.

In fact, BLQ will ask Ava if she knows who Phoebe Wilson’s (Luna and Lucia Creighton) father is. Ava looks flabbergasted in the clips, so what will her response be?

Valentin Cassadine Shares, Too

Across town, Valentin will share how he feels with Carly. In the General Hospital preview for the July 17 episode, he’s shown asking the blonde, “Are you concerned about how I feel now that Anna [Devane – Finola Hughes] is back in town?”

Carly does feel a tad insecure about Anna, considering how electric Vanna was when they were together, so it sounds like Valentin will put Carly’s mind at ease.

 

Sonny Corinthos’ Deception

Speaking of Carly, she’ll also establish boundaries with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Sonny has a huge problem with Carly dating Valentin, but at the end of the day, Carly will let him know that her romances are none of his business.

Still, that won’t stop Sonny from poking his nose where it doesn’t belong! Brick (Stephen A. Smith) will be part of Friday’s show as he takes a meeting with the mob boss.

All arrows are pointing to Sonny asking Brick to help him break up Varly, and the man will be happy to help. A clip for Friday’s episode shows Brick telling Sonny, “No worries, I think I can help with this.”

Josslyn Jacks Skirts An Issue

Over at the hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) visits Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). It looks like the two will catch up, but will Joss tell her friend about why she was shot and that she’s with the WSB?

A preview clip shows the two ladies chatting, as the blonde notes, “There’s a simple answer, but the reasons behind it are complicated.”

Elsewhere, Nina will confide in Brennan, so these two will get a lot closer as she confesses something to him.

Brennan and Nina are used to bantering back and forth, but during Friday’s show, they’ll bond, so fans should expect to see sparks fly.
