On stage, Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) perform together as Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) looks on. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) watches Sam and eventually stops Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) from introducing the next act.
General Hospital Spoilers: Liz Webber’s Nurses Ball Speech
Liz thinks back to Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) telling her Jake Doe (Billy Miller) is Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and spots Jake over by Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). After pausing a little too long, Liz starts telling a heartfelt story about Jason and Robin Scorpio’s (Kimberly McCullough) bravery.
Liz ultimately leaves the stage without revealing the truth about Jake. When Nikolas catches up with a teary Liz, she admits she only sees Jason when she looks at Jake now. The truth changed everything, but she doesn’t want it to change anything or anyone else.
There isn’t a place for Liz in Jason’s life, but she sees a spot for herself if Jake remains Jake. Liz notes that Sam has found happiness with Patrick and Jason doesn’t even remember his loved ones. She’s adamant that she’s going to keep this secret and convinces Nikolas to do the same.
GH Spoilers & Updates: Spencer’s Emotional Meeting With Courtney Matthews
Meanwhile, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) enjoys a visit with his mother, Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis). Courtney may have died shortly after Spencer was born, but they’ve always had a connection – one that Spencer can feel, too. However, Courtney determined that it was time to speak with Spencer in person in light of his Nurses Ball stunt.
Courtney works to get to the heart of Spencer’s issues. Spencer’s upset about being disfigured, but Courtney helps him see that his face doesn’t look so bad. The scarring is very minor when Spencer looks in the mirror. When Nikolas returns to Wyndemere, Spencer hints about the advice he received and sits with his father. Courtney appears again – placing a hand on Spencer’s shoulder as well as Nik’s.
At Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) urging, Jake takes off to find Elizabeth. Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) also pushes Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to chat with Carly alone. Carly reflects on how Michael has Jason’s best qualities, so they share a tender scene. Afterward, Carly spots Sabrina and thanks her for supporting Michael when everyone else was rushing to judgment.

Kyle Sloane (Rob Derringer) runs into Jake and wants to talk about Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine). Jake isn’t certain that Jordan was supposed to take the hit, but Kyle believes the Jeromes wanted her to die. Kyle has suspicions about Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) being in Jake’s hotel room to set him up in the event the hit went wrong.
Later, Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) gives orders to Bruce about moving forward with the plan to kill Jordan. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) appears as Duke’s talking about the hit. Next, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) gets Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson) to wrap her arms around his neck and laugh loudly. They’re putting on a show for jealous Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).

Spinelli sings a song to Maxie on stage later – or at least tries to. His eyes keep landing on Ellie instead. Maxie and Nathan also can’t seem to avoid looking at each other. Lucy thanks everyone before introducing the closing act. As for Jake, he steps away from the others and finds Liz in the hallway.

I love to see Elizabeth on my screen, except when the writers have tried to ruin her character, time and time again. Throwing her under the bus, so Sam could become a good girl and gain approval. Such a sad thing to do to a great veteran character!
