General Hospital spoilers indicate that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) are still being haunted by the past. While they are trying to make ends meet, it seems like certain things – and certain people – just won’t give them a break! Here’s what you need to know.

As many fans already know, both Liz and Franco are being pushed to a breaking point, thanks to a growing stack of unpaid bills that they have. If that weren’t enough, they also have to worry about paying for Cameron’s upcoming college tuition. Unlike many other residents of Port Charles, Liz and Franco are in a much different situation than everyone else.

General Hospital co-head writer Chris Van Etten explains it this way to ABC Soaps in Depth, “One of the things I love about this couple is that they are not like the Cassadines of the Quartermaines. They have real jobs and real bank accounts, which don’t always have a whole lot of money in them!”

With that said, General Hospital spoilers do tease that there might be a light at the end of the tunnel for this couple. However, that light is also going to turn out to be a glaring spotlight. Before that brain tumor was removed, Franco was a dangerous serial killer. And before that, he was also a successful artist. As much as Franco is trying to live a quiet life, everything might soon be turned upside down by Ava Jerome (Maura West) and her plans to throw a big party at which the artist’s portrait of her will be revealed.

And while this might certainly help Franco and his current financial situation, Liz is unsure if it would be better off to let sleeping dogs lie. That’s because she’s worried that going back to the past might hurt Franco and everyone’s futures. Only time will tell if she is right!
