The news of his passing circulated earlier today. Goldman was known for playing the role of Clarence Darrow on the ABC daytime drama briefly. He was however best known for his roles in The Smurfs and Young Frankenstein. He died on April 12, 2020 at his home following a series of strokes. He died at the age of 80.
His agent Doug Ely shared a Facebook post regarding the death of his colleague. The post read, “It’s with great sadness that I must tell you that Danny Goldman has passed away. He passed peacefully at home today amongst family and friends, after having suffered a couple of strokes around New Years.”

Ely has known Danny for many years. In fact, they first met when he started casting on his own 1980. This is when Ely also first became an agent. A friendship and work relationship for so long must be a hard one to say goodbye to. After all, they’ve known each other for about 40 years.
Ely went on to say, “Danny was truly one of a kind. He always had strong opinions and didn’t mind telling you about them. He was incredibly funny. He loved to root for the little guy and help wherever he could. He had a huge heart. We lost a good one today. He will be missed.”

Goldman was born on October 30, 1939 in New York City. He began appearing on TV in the 1970s sitcom called The Good Life and went on to appear in other series. He spent many years working as an actor and in different capacities. He also worked for three decades as a casting director and retired in 2009. His talents will be greatly missed in the world of acting and that is no doubt.
He was also involved in poker games and baseball. He was a big fan of the game and was a part of different events in relation to these. His acting career and his presence were a bright spark in the lives of many.
