General Hospital Spoilers: GH Lines Up Possible Sasha Exit – Does Sofia Mattsson Have A Future On Soap?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that what seemed to be a short term role has lasted much longer than expected, but do they have the makings of a long term character? The character in question is Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Viewers were in on the fact that Sasha wasn’t really Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) long-lost daughter almost from the beginning, so the likability factor for this character seemed doomed from the start.
General Hospital Spoilers: But Sasha kept coming back
Due to Sofia Mattsson’s portrayal, Sasha kept returning to Port Charles. She was used as a foil for Kiki Jerome (Hailey Erin) and Griffin Munro’s (Matt Cohen), but she was set up by Ava Jerome. And her character’s guilt and reluctance to hurt Nina really seemed give the character added depth. But the turning point was when they paired Sasha with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Although the relationship was strictly casual at first, the chemistry between the was obvious.
General Hospital Spoilers: But then… the bird flu
But suddenly, Sasha was poisoned with a strain of the bird flu by Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) as revenge against Nina. It seemed like character might have it’s course. But Sasha survived, and Michael and Sasha grew stronger a couple, and began to actually fall in love.
Sasha even confessed her role in the impersonation scam to Michael and he kept her secret, further solidifying them as a couple. When the truth came out, it seemed like Sasha might go to jail, but Nina dropped the charges, and Sasha stuck around.
General Hospital Spoilers: Wedding to Willow
But now that Sasha is pushing for Willow Tait (Katelyn McMullen) to marry Michael, once again it once again seems like the character might be exiting Port Charles. And Sasha other storyline, The Deception Launch could easily take her out of town especially with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) a major investor in the company.

One has to wonder if Valentin invested in Deception to get some sort of revenge on Sasha for helping to blow up his relationship with Nina. He could easily force Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) to move Sasha out of Port Charles, and away from Michael. Sasha has even mentioned the Italian market. Was that foreshadowing her character being sent off to Italy?

I like the character Sasha and the actress who plays her. She has chemistry with Michael, which none that I know of has ever had. I believe in the end she will be Nina’s daughter. DNA tests get messed with a lot on GH. She and Nina have a rapport like a mother and daughter. She is good but just a little bit bad. She’s beautiful and works hard to make a place in PC. I hope she stays and Willow can go. Willow is a lot weird and has so much baggage that she carries around. I’m not saying the loss of her child wasn’t devastating. I know it is but I think all the baggage will come out against her in court and could prove bad for Michael’s plea to have custody of Wylie. Sasha might have baggage but she has worked to overcome it and is working in a successful business, standing behind Michael in his endeavors, and she cares as much for Wylie as Willow. I say she stays. For goodness’s sake do away with the horrid Nelle. Willow is so cracked she could be the one who offs Nelle.
Yes Sasha is spicey which makes her character one of depth. We need her. I hope she eventually marries Michael when y’all get rid of Nelle.

She can stay but I still think Michael will marry willow for his son and they will fall for one another. Just get Nelle the hell out of there. She is the most annoying character ever. After watching since 1963, I’m about done. Her antics are just so unbelievable, unbearable and utterly ridiculous I can’t stand to watch when she’s on! Someone kill her please!! Oh Ryan! Heather?! Sonny!! Jason… Hell , I’ll do it for free!!

I really like Sasha with Michael, They kind of remind me of Years ago with Robert and Holly. They have a lot of the same characteristics. Chase is real good with Willow. These four if allowed to will be the future greats of GH They can bring back the Love, Humor, and excitement.

Remember years ago Alexis married Jax while Ned, who she loved, had a marriage of convenience with Chloe Morgan. Alexis married Jax so the two couples could hang out together and she could still see Ned. It could happen again. Michael with Willow and Sasha with Chase.
