Since Griffin left — on the heels of Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) death — many fans have longed for him to return to town to pick up on where his love affair with Ava Jerome (Maura West) left off.
Ava is certainly in a prime position for someone to pick up on her damsel in distress situation and make it all better, but if Griffin really the guy? Moreover, if Griffin isn’t headed back to town to rekindle something with Ava, what business would he really have there anymore?
General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Jerome Can Take Care Of Herself
Like it or not, Ava has steeled herself to the motives of any man at this point. She’ll always trust Griffin — to an extent — but she has long since moved on from the heartbreak he left her with. There are no wounds left to lick, and they have already made peace with one another.
After all, she did plenty of damage to him and Kiki as well. But more so, Ava is in a different place in her life now.

She knows how to take care of herself and she doesn’t need a man to fix her broken heart or her life. If Griffin is coming back to town, it’s probably not to reconnect with Ava — at least not in that way.

Many fans forget that Griffin has family ties that bind in Port Charles. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was once married to Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), who was Griffin’s late biological father whom he never met.
Anna and Griffin bonded in the overdue aftermath of Duke’s passing, and they formed a friendship that was more than just friendship. They were family — even if they never knew it when Duke was still alive and Anna was still married to him.

Griffin could be on the rebound himself when he comes back to town if he’s had a falling out with Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson). He just might find himself cozying up to Anna as a source of comfort, and feeling useful again for putting a smile on her rather unhappy face.
Right now, Anna’s world has been shattered by Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) lies, which led to her shooting Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). Could Griffin end up being more than a shoulder to cry on?

I love Griffin and if he got with Anna I would not be opposed. Not Ava however, as that ship sailed. I also wouldn’t mind D him with Elizabeth. She and Finn are boring.
