General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease the question has Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) gone rogue? After supposedly being in rehab for several months recovering from infections and not returning Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) calls, he was seen in French Polynesia romancing Jennifer Smith (Holly Gagnier) in a recent episode of General Hospital!
General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Is Not Officially WSB Although He Is A Trained Spy
General Hospital viewers will remember that although Valentin is not officially a WSB agent, he did go to WSB spy school and is a trained spy; he helped on a mission to rescue Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Bailey Louise Jones (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt). But then he was captured by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) who claims to be his daddy dearest, but if it’s true, at least it makes him a legitimate Cassadine again, although it would seem that his duplicitous birth father may have rubbed off on him! General Hospital viewers want to know how he could be on some kind of undercover mission legitimately for the WSB and have to keep it secret from Anna-that just doesn’t make any sense! Could Valentin have gone back to his old mercenary ways, or be working for the DVX, or maybe be trying to get the Ice Princess for his father, Victor?
GH Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Shows Up In French Polynesia Flirting With Jennifer Smith And Breaking Into Her Safe!
General Hospital viewers will remember that Valentin, undercover as a submarine captain and speaking in a heavy French accent, was seen in French Polynesia in a recent episode of General Hospital. He was flirting heavily with Jennifer Smith (Holly Gagnier) and trying to distract her as he was breaking into her hotel safe – and he had a jewelry bag handy to slip what he intended to swipe from her purse into. Jennifer had told “Captain Oliver” that she was there for an auction of something priceless that had belonged to someone who she once loved; longtime General Hospital viewers will recall her years-long obsession with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary). Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) were also headed to the same auction which they are suspecting is of the Ice Princess; their paths are likely to cross with Valentin’s, but the question is- who is he working for?

General Hospital Spoilers – Have Cassadine Family Loyalties Superseded Valentin Cassadine’s Relationship With Anna Devane?
General Hospital viewers can expect an interesting confrontation when Anna and Valentin run into each other in French Polynesia; whether Felicia will throw coffee in his face remains to be seen! If Anna or possibly Anna and Felicia spot him with Jennifer, if they have also tracked her to the island, Valentin’s going to have some explaining to do – it’s obvious that he’s either gone rogue, gone back to his old mercenary ways or he’s working for his father! Considering Victor was the one who caused the situation that led to Valentin’s serious infection, why would Cassadine’s family loyalties supersede his relationship with Anna – it simply makes no sense to General Hospital viewers! Or, there could be one other explanation that would leave Valentin a little more redeemed than the other possibilities; he’s gone rogue and used his mercenary contacts and skills to retrieve the Ice Princess before it can be used for harm! That would make sense if he felt there was too much danger for Anna to be involved in the search for the Ice Princess!

Valentin as evolved into a likeable character which many have grown to like. Why have him be turned back into the not so lovable character? Does all of PC need to have a villainous streak or be underhanded for this program to carry on? Why change all of the character's personas for the sake of stories that don't go over well with viewers?? I would suppose that in the not to near future, Liz's kids will be brought into this madness (hopefully not), as enough has occurred with Cam/Joss. Perhaps writers need a nice long vacation to get their minds on something other than doom/gloom and who can be used for sinister purposes. I wouldn't want to find myself anywhere close to this town for fear I would drink the water and become someone unrecognizable.
