General Hospital spoilers tease that Rebecca Budig, who returned as Hayden Barnes in May of 2019, will exit soon as Hayden flees Port Charles at the insistence of her still-legal-husband Nikolas Cassadine!

General Hospital Spoilers – Rebecca Budig Has Appeared In Soaps Since 1995

Rebecca Budig has appeared in soaps since 1995, starting on the venerable, but cancelled, CBS soap opera “The Guiding Light”. She portrayed Michelle Bauer from 1995 through 1998. The soap was cancelled ten years ago in 2009 after being on the air for fifty-seven years on television, with an additional 19 years on radio. Michelle Bauer was part of the soap’s core family, the Bauer family.

Then Rebecca appeared on the ABC soap “All My Children” as Greenlee Smythe from August 1999 to November 2005 and 2008 through 2011 including the Prospect Park online version. That soap was cancelled in 2011. She first appeared on General Hospital in March, 2015 and left in September 2017. She reprised the role of Hayden Barnes in May 2019.

GH Spoilers – Hayden Barnes First Appeared As The “Wife” Of Jake Doe

Hayden first appeared as the phony “wife” of Jake Doe (Billy Miller). She was later revealed to be Rachel Berlin, the daughter of Raymond Berlin (Robert Curtis Brown) an executive infamous for Ponzi-type investment schemes, and Naomi Dreyfus (Robin Riker) who had an affair with Dr. Jeff Webber (Richard Dean Anderson) years ago, producing a daughter – Rachel, which makes her half-sisters with Elizabeth Webber, now Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).

The two women could not stand each other but eventually became friends and are now like real sisters. Hayden was working for Ric Lansing (Ric Hearst) to break up Elizabeth and Jake Doe, who she was involved with, because Ric wanted Liz back. This was before he was thought to be Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and later discovered to be his previously unknown twin, Drew Cain.

General Hospital Spoilers – Hayden Barnes Becomes Involved With Nikolas Cassadine

Then, when that scam was unsuccessful, Hayden met Nikolas Cassadine (at that time Tyler Christopher) and started sleeping with him. They eventually married, but Nikolas was scamming Hayden; he wanted her to steal all of the Cassadine diamonds, which were in possession of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) at the time, but Nikolas knew Jake Doe was really Jason – or thought to be – and Nik nearly killed her!

GH Spoilers – Hayden Barnes And Jared Preston, Jr.

Hayden’s ex-husband, Jared Preston Jr. (Matt Corboy) was released from prison by the time she became involved with Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and became engaged to him, Jared came after her and blackmailed her, because he took the hit for her drunken hit and run of a little girl when the two were still married.

Hayden, who was working for ELQ at the time, performed some very creative accounting maneuvers to pay him off and then put the money back into ELQ, and then left Port Charles, and Finn, at the altar, and disappeared. She returned this past May with a little girl who Finn has just met and started to get acquainted with. Hayden will go into hiding this time, but since the exit seems open ended she may resurface when it’s safe!

So, what’s gonna happen to Violet? Is Hayden taking her with her or is she leaving her with Finn? Why did GH bring her back for only a short time? Will Hayden be back? What’s going on?

It starting to get to be ridiculous, first Sam being sent to prison for 2 years, now Hayden leaving the GH. Brooklyn back and who is next that will be leaving the show. GH is starting to look like a joke, no ending s/l and nothing is make sense anymore. We definitely need new writers ASAP, someone who knows GH history.
