General Hospital Spoilers reveal nothing is as it seems in Port Charles, or back at Spring Ridge. For more than a year now, we’ve watched Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) work every angle imaginable against multiple unsuspecting people in Port Chuck, and it appeared as though her birth father, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), was her only ally.

But that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Ryan might believe he’s in Esme’s corner, but she’s been playing him the hardest of all the entire time.
Since their first meeting, Esme knew Ryan would be the most important mark she ever landed, and she’s carried her plan out seamlessly without giving Ryan the slightest hint that she’s not the devoted daughter he believes she is. This isn’t to say she’s not a devoted daughter, she is…to her mother, Heather Webber (Alley Mills).

For more than a year now, we’ve been under the impression Esme tracked Ryan down and longed to know who her mother was. Ryan carried on pretending he had no idea who she could have been, while he always assumed it was Heather and just didn’t tell Esme. He may have his own reasons for that, and they could be as childish and simple as not wanting to share his daughter’s affection and admiration with her psychopathic mother.

What Ryan doesn’t know is that Esme found Heather first, and Heather only led her to Ryan after securing her devotion and making sure she would help her seek revenge. What remains to be seen is who the real target of Heather’s revenge will be. She may be itching to go after people we haven’t seen harmed in any way yet, like Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is conveniently coupled up with Scott now and could become a victim of their revenge by default for that reason alone.
Heather has made many enemies over the years in Port Charles, and the few that Esme have targeted thus far have little to do with Heather’s past. However, Esme and Heather might just be paving the way for the future, especially if they do have anything to do with The Hook.

In Heather’s mind, the perfect crime is carried out not just because she can get away with it without being captured, but when she can pin it on someone else she loathes. That person could be Ryan.

It’s possible she convinced Esme that Ryan never wanted her — something he certainly hasn’t revealed since she came to know him, but Heather probably coached her to expect him to lie. He’s an expert at that, obviously, but so is Heather. Will Heather and her killer kin be able to pull this off, or has Ryan been onto them all along, too?
