Fans of both long running soaps during the years they’ve been on can’t help but notice the similarities in families and characters-not to mention cross-migrating actors!

Several Actors Over The Years Have Cross-Migrated, And One Even Plays On Both

Several actors over the years have cross-migrated between the two soaps, and one even plays on both, and has for years–Wally Kurth-Ned Quartermaine on GH, Justin Kiriakis on DOOL.

People have noticed similarities between the DiMera family of Days of Our Lives and the Cassadines on General Hospital.

Both family mansions even have secret entrances going into secret tunnels, and their entrances both in their living rooms!

Actors Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans play a married couple on DOOL, whereas they played Stefan Cassadine and Katherine Bell on GH.

Two DOOL actors played Victor Cassadine-Charles Shaughnessy more recently, and Thaao Penghlis originally-he’s a DiMera on Days Of Our Lives.

Similar Storyline Types Over The Years

There have been similar storyline types over the years, with mad scientists raising characters from the dead, and Days Of Our Lives’ ISA (International Security Alliance) closely mirrors General Hospital’s WSB (World Security Bureau).

DOOL’s Stefano DiMera (the late Joseph Mascolo) and GH’s Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) are about even in resurrections over the years. Both soaps have featured organized crime families as well, and many of the DOOL characters work for a large hospital, just like on GH.

Both shows have had characters be kidnapped and held on islands, and many storylines on both shows featured people who were presumed dead, only to return alive later.

But there is a storyline currently on Days of Our Lives that General Hospital could be mimicking-including with the young actors being the same age, both young girls!

Is The ABC Soap Mimicking The DOOL Rachel Black’s Shooting With Scout Cain?

On Days of Our Lives, the NBC Peacock soap has a storyline where a young DiMera family member, an eleven or twelve year old girl shot her uncle, blocked it out, and recently remembered.

Could GH be mimicking Days of Our Lives’ Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) shooting EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) with having Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) shoot her father, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)?

Current spoilers for GH have Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) figuring out who shot Drew but keeping it secret, and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) possibly knowing and protecting someone as well.

Scout was supposed to be at camp when her father was shot, but her older distant cousin Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) brought her home later.

Charlotte knows how to shoot a gun so might they have been working together to shoot Drew, because of Scout being so unhappy over his actions-you have to admit, it makes sense!
