General Hospital Spoilers: Is Jerry Jacks Secretly Working With Cyrus Or Peter? Or Both?

ABC General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates ease that we will be finding what Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is planning for General Hospital and Port Charles, New York, and whether he is working alone or with another interested party. Cyrus has made several bold moves at General Hospital. His first week alone he fired Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman).

Not long after that, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) named Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) the new Chief of Staff. Once Britt took over, she promptly moved Epiphany Jones (Sonya Eddy) to an administrative position which means she won’t be seeing patients. And finally, she reduced Elizabeth Webber’s workload to no more than two shifts a week.

General Hospital Spoiler Updates

It became obvious to everyone that Cyrus was specifically getting rid of any staff that had been at the hospital long enough to know when things weren’t being run properly. This likely means that Cyrus is planning to use the hospital as a front for his drug business. It’s pretty obvious from Cyrus’ persistence that he is used to getting what he wants. Look at the way he has persisted in asking for Julian Jerome (William DeVry) to sell him Charlie’s. At this point, Julian has managed to resist but Cyrus’ most recent tactic was nothing more than a not so subtle death threat.

All Of Port Charles Is In Danger

Whatever Cyrus has in mind, is obviously very big in scale. And although Cyrus could very easily be working on his own, the sheer scale of what he seems to be trying brings to mind the actions of another person who always thought big. Whether he holding half the town hostage at the Metro Court or poisoning the water supply of the entire town of Port Charles, Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roche) always has big plans when it comes to his schemes. Jerry hasn’t set foot in Port Charles that we know of but in a recent meeting between Jerry’s brother, Jasper “Jax” Jacks, and Britt Westbourne, the new Chief of Staff brought up Jerry.

Britt Westbourne Was Sent By Cyrus To Ask Jasper Jax For Money

Cyrus sent Brett to ask Jax to donate money for Brett’s new project at the hospital. Jax declined before Britt could even finish her pitch, claiming that there was no way he would give money to a criminal like Cyrus. Brett then asked if that applied to Jerry, asking Jax if he had heard from Jerry recently. Jax denied having any communication with Jerry, but he was certainly uncomfortable talking about his brother. Was Britt implying that Jerry was working with Cyrus or was she just trying to draw a comparison between Jerry and Cyrus? Either way, Jax didn’t change his mind.

Cyrus Renault Obviously Likes To Be In Control

Truthfully, the way Cyrus operates, it seems unlikely that Jerry would work with him. Cyrus likes being the only one in charge so he can hold his power. But that doesn’t mean that Jerry isn’t involved with an entirely different criminal in Port Charles. We’ve already been shown that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was working with Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) on the memory mapping program. Helena and Jerry have worked together in the past. Peter is very good at covering his tracks and has remained free from prosecution. It seems entirely possible that Peter is taking lessons from Jerry at least on some level.

Is the Memory Mapping Project Still A Go?

The memory mapping project has only been mentioned a few times in recent months with the exception of the hunt. for Drew Cain (Billy Miller) is presumed dead and Helena Cassadine is also gone. Jerry could easily have Drew and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) locked up somewhere to prevent their interference with Peter. Although Peter is trying to reform, he is certainly not above doing whatever he needs to keep his past a secret. If Peter and Jerry are working together in some capacity, Jerry will probably remain behind the scenes. But he won’t stay there forever, if there is one thing Jerry enjoys, it’s a spectacle!
