General Hospital Spoilers — Katherine Bell’s First Two Deaths

Katherine’s first death was accidental, and she only fell from the parapet at Wyndemere because the rail was loosened in an attempt to get Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) to plummet to her own death on the rocky waters below. Not everyone was happy to see Katherine survive that fall; technically, she didn’t. Katherine was brought back to life when Helena administered an experimental drug to her. Magic applies over on Spoon Island. Katherine came back to life, but she still met her fate soon after.

With Helena in a coma, Katherine devised a plan to entrap Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) into marrying her by faking she was pregnant. However, several attempts to get pregnant failed and a doctor told Katherine the drug Helena gave her when she brought her back to life likely rendered her infertile. Katherine told a sleeping Helena of her wicked plan, and Helena regained consciousness without letting anyone know. On her wedding day to Nikolas, Katherine was pushed off the same parapet by Helena, with no drug to pull her back to life this time.

Rumors were swirling when Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) first came to Port Charles that he was the child of Katherine Bell. However, Cody’s mother is actually Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson). This also means Cody has a sister — Serena Baldwin (Carly Schroeder). However, Cody is not Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) son. Scott and Dominique conceived Serena via IVF and she was carried to term by Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) as a surrogate. Much like Cody and Serena, Katherine and Dominique shared a father. That means Cody would know her as Aunt Katherine.

However, some fans are speculating that the reason Cody has been hesitant to do a DNA test with Mac Scorpio (John J. York) or anything else is that Dominique isn’t really his mother, and Katherine is. Is it possible Katherine really had conceived before being pushed from the parapet that final time? If Katherine is his mom, who is his father? Could Cody be the son of Nikkolas Cassadine? If so, would he impede Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) right to his inheritance?
