Just like that, everything changed. Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), was her best friend just moments before, who was waiting patiently for her bestie to wake up just like Maxie had done for her for years when she was in a coma of her own.
But Lulu didn’t exactly return the favor, did she? But that’s probably not what is irking Maxie the most, if I’m being honest.
It seemed so simple that she woke up and chose Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), but what else was the girl supposed to do?
Will Lulu’s love for Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) be the very thing that makes Maxie realize she’s not as certain as she thought about who she wants to be with?
An Impossible Decision
Maxie didn’t have much time to put the pieces together about her husband being back from the dead after she woke up. It was mere days before she was out of the Boston clinic and flying home to be with her family. She knows Spinelli like the back of her hand.

She knew she would have to have this discussion with him, and that he would be a nervous wreck wondering which direction she would want to take her life in. So she made the most practical choice.
She chose the man she’s already with so as to not upset the apple cart, knowing full well that she would then have time to reintegrate herself with Nathan and figure out how she feels about him.
]This Was the Path of Practicality
It seems that while Nathan and Lulu might not have been thinking too much about how Maxie would feel if she knew what they were up to, Maxie was trying to take everyone else’s feelings into account as much as possible.
Why would she ruin what she has with Spinelli and their kids if she didn’t feel anything for Nathan today the same way she used to?

Just because she’ll always love the guy she married doesn’t mean that’s where her heart is now, and she wasn’t going to know that until she saw him and got to spend some time with him. Now, Lulu and Nathan’s feelings for each other have interrupted that plan.
Everyone Loses?
If Maxie ends up coming clean that she’s not comfortable with Lulu and Nathan being together because she’s still carrying a torch for him — or at least suspects she could be — we have to wonder whether that’ll stop them from being together.
To be honest, we have to wonder whether Nathan even wants to be with Maxie, should she declare that’s what she wants.
Would he leave Lulu flapping in the wind to try to make it work with the mother of his child? Not only would Spinelli lose out in this equation, but if Nathan goes back to Maxie, Lulu and Maxie both lose out too.
Lulu would lose Nathan, and she and Maxie would both lose their years-long friendship with one another. What do you foresee happening here? Share your thoughts with us, and keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers.
