General Hospital Spoilers: Is Maxie Going To Divorce Nathan

General Hospital spoilers confirm that Maxie Jones will be back in Port Charles soon, Kirsten Storm’s official return date is set for this week. 

When the fan fave wakes up from her coma, she’s going to have a LOT of catching up to do.  Who is going to break the news to her that her husband Nathan West is back from the dead?  More importantly, will she divorce him and stay with Spinelli?

Maxie’s Technically A Married Woman

Maxie Jones married Det. Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) in 2017 on General Hospital, then he was killed in 2018 and she became a widow.  Maxie was devastated by Nathan’s death. 

Eventually she moved on with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and then eventually ended up back with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) in 2024.  Maxie and Spinelli were still together when she was poisoned and went in to a coma nine months ago.  

If you want to get technical, Maxie and Nathan West are still legally married until death or divorce do them apart. 

Since Nathan’s death wasn’t legit, she would have to actually serve him with divorce papers.  The only problem is, Maxie never stopped loving her husband.  She moved on with Spinelli because Nathan was gone.  

Spinelli Pushes For Commitment

General Hospital spoilers say Spinelli will probably become insecure about his relationship with Maxie.  What if he wants to make things official and put a ring on it?  Maxie is going to have to divorce Nathan first, and she might have reservations when she wakes up. 

It has been months since we saw Kirsten Storms’ character on the ABC soap, and she might not even be herself when she wakes up.  Some rumors hint she could even have amnesia or some sort of memory loss.
