General Hospital Spoilers: Is There Really A Codicil At All, Or Is It Just One Of Helena Cassadine’s Mind Games?

General Hospital spoilers tease that there is a possibility that there is really no codicil to Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) will at all, and that it could just be another one of Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) mind games!

General Hospital Spoilers – When Helena Cassadine Died, She Sent Her “Heirs” On A Wild Goose Chase

General Hospital viewers should recall from a few years ago that when Helena died, and her will was read, she just sent her “heirs” on a wild goose chase! She had filmed a video before she died, and it was played at the reading of her will, and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) was the executor. Nikolas Cassadine (then Tyler Christopher, recently recast) was at the reading, as were Laura Collins, (Genie Francis) Lulu Spencer, then Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) Hayden Barnes, (Rebecca Budig) Elizabeth Baldwin, then Elizabeth Webber, (Rebecca Herbst) Samantha McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

However, Alexis’ other two daughters were not invited and Elizabeth puzzled over why she was since she is not related to the Cassadines in any way. Hayden, of course, was still married to Nikolas so her invitation makes some sort of twisted sense.

GH Spoilers – Helena Cassadine’s “Gifts” To Her Heirs

She left Sam one cent to spilt with her sisters, and remarked that’s all any child of Alexis was worth, Alexis gets a music box with the knife used to slit her mother’s throat in it, and Elizabeth receives a parched-paper drawing booklet entitled “Jake’s Adventure” and Liz is appalled since Jake had been kidnapped and on Cassadine Island during the period that he was thought to be dead. Lulu received an empty envelope, concerning which Helena said she owed Lulu a great deal of debt.

This is also when Nikolas received the portrait of Helena, and he was advised he left her nothing of monetary value and it was all going to the Cassadine Foundation. She tells him in the video that the painting is symbolic that they will never be finished with each other! However, there is a reflection of a man in the teapot she holds in the portrait; this was guessed to be Nikolas because she had accused him of poisoning her tea!

Laura, meanwhile, received a box with a key in it with a cryptic instruction not to lose the key, because it was a key to what she had loved and lost! Hayden didn’t get anything. With this twisted type of a mind game she played with her “heirs” at the reading of her will, is there even a codicil at all in this painting?

General Hospital Spoilers – How Did Nikolas Cassadine Find Out About The Codicil?

Another important question is how did Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) even find out there was a codicil? If he had known about the codicil, why did he not bring it to Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) attention on that fateful day in Greece, when he went out the window with a bullet in his chest, presumed dead? Of course, there was that conversation between the two in Greek that still remains “greek” to everyone else because what they were talking about has not been revealed by GH!

After Helena’s death, Valentin took over Cassadine Island and the Cassadine mansion there, and he found nothing like that, which, if it were on Spoon Island off the coast close to Port Charles, that would make sense. But Nikolas was on Spoon Island for a few months before he “died”, and yet never apparently removed the codicil from the painting or he wouldn’t be trying to get his hands on it. It’s understandable that it would have been irrelevant at that time, but then again, if he knew it was in the portrait, why didn’t he tell Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Hayden exactly where it was or bring up its existence to Valentin before he “died”?
