Is This Character Getting Recast?
That’s why there are so many fans who think of this one particular character on the soap. While it doesn’t seem like Jonathan Jackson is coming back to General Hospital anytime soon, many are wondering if Lucky Spencer is going to be recast with another actor.
Jonathan’s decision to leave General Hospital was actually quite controversial, but he’s also been very busy writing books and working on his music. Plus, he lives in Nashville and the commute to Los Angeles wasn’t easy on him.
That said, could another actor fill in for Jonathan’s shoes as the new Lucky Spencer in town? Of course, General Hospital fans certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “No one can blame him for leaving. They had him for an entire year and could not come up with an engaging storyline. There was so much potential wasted.”
Another critic wrote, “I don’t get all the hate directed at JJ for what is obviously the fault of TPTB in not giving him a story and reason to stay. Why should you commute half way across the country for crappy story.”

And then there was this comment as well: “If they do decide to bring the character back, the show needs to move on Jonathan Jackson. I don’t care if he himself expresses any interest in returning.”
Is Lucky Spencer Coming Back?
Now, whether or not Lucky ever comes back on the soap, remains to be seen, but so far the producers have not made any comments about the matter, just yet. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
