General Hospital Spoilers: It’s Starting To Look Like Drew Cain May Be On His Way Out

General Hospital Spoilers: It's Starting To Look Like Drew Cain May Be On His Way OutGeneral Hospital spoilers leak Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is almost everyone’s most hated character on GH these days — and has been for some time, if I’m being honest!

Much of the fan base feels he cannot be redeemed at this point and needs to somehow be written off the show. As much as it pains me to say it, I’ve thought the same.

Of course, we’re seen GH writers make some pretty impressive moves over the years to make us fall back in love with a character all over again after we thought they were a literal monster. We’ve also grown to love some of the monsters for just being who they are!

Regardless, with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) being Emily ‘Scout’ Cain’s (Cosette Abinante) legal guardian, it wouldn’t be impossible for Drew to just up and die right? She’s got good people in her corner to raise her up right in his absence. But there may be more clever avenues ahead for Drew yet.

Karma is Calling

Drew has made his bed, and it might be time that he finally lies in it. We know that time must be coming soon. Will karma catch up with him for all of his wrongdoings?

Somewhere along the way, this guy lost his way. He went from being the former Navy SEAL who was father to Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) and grieved his death, and the guy who helped save Willow’s life, to a monster who tried to destroy the Quartermaine family crypt, broke up his nephew’s marriage, stole the Q’s family heirlooms, and left Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) to die as he suffered from a massive heart attack. Surely, his destiny isn’t a happy ending?

GH Spoilers Report the Fans Say They’re Done

In my three-plus decades of being a GH addict, I am not sure I recall any character being more loathed among the fans than Drew has been for the last two years.

His relationship with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is such a distant memory now as everything about him seemed to spiral out of control since that point, not that she’s at all to blame.

Carly saw the writing on the wall and tried to warn everyone. Back then, some fans even took his side. They’re probably eating crow now.

X user @tamjonfan shared, “I’ve never wanted a character gone more than him. I hate everything about him.” That about sums up what I’m hearing from everyone I know.

Don’t Write Drew Off Just Yet?

If I may offer an alternative explanation, I don’t think Drew’s previous 18 months needs to wipe out his entire history on the show. We just need a reminder of who Drew used to be.

The audience needs to be warmed up again. If they did it with the likes of Stefan Cassadine (Stephen Nichols), Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), and now even Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), they can do it for Drew.

We might need a reprieve, which could be a staged death, or a move to Washington, DC that gives us time to forget. Like it or not, Drew has many ties to the town, and he is Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) twin brother.

If Ric and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) can come together, can’t these two? I’ll leave it up to you. Sound off in the comments, and keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.

In my opinion, Drew does not met the criteria of the characters mentioned. He is in a position of his own making and any type of redemption should be overlooked by writers. If he is redeemed for any reason, the character should be removed from canvas for a long period of time before reappearing. Most GH true villains have met their maker one way or another and have not been allowed to stay on canvas if even resurrected at a later date. Drew made his bed and he should lay in it at least for a period of time. Sorry CM may be out of job, but, that is how the ball rolls when such a part is given. If a poll were taken, I don’t feel many viewers would even care to have my suggestion used as a way to handle the resolution of Drew’s horrible behavior to all.
