General Hospital Spoilers: Jacinda Being Pushed On Fans As The New Bobbie – Escort Deserves A Second Chance?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers show that the soap is trying hard to rehab Jacinda Bracken’s (Paige Herschell) image and some fans aren’t having it.

She is an escort who Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) has taken a liking to after happenstance brought them together. While some fans are opposed to her moving onward and upward from her profession with a member of the PC elite, there is good reason to get behind this redemption arc.

Here’s why the show could be calling to mind another hooker with a heart of gold story for the ages—that of the late Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).

Can Jacinda Follow in Bobbie’s Footsteps?

We have no idea who Jacinda really is. TPTB can turn her into a sympathetic character by playing up the similarities she has to esteemed former GH head nurse Bobbie Spencer—they have a lot in common. The audience loved Bobbie, who’s to say they won’t learn to love Jacinda as well?

Bobbie had a rough past and she sold herself to live. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is her daughter and she initially came to town to ruin Bobbie.

She did a lot of damage but unlike Carly, Jacinda doesn’t seem to have a hidden agenda other than wanting to improve her life.

Can Jacinda be Redeemed?

But, like Carly, Jacinda has shown a horrible lack of judgment thus far. She thought it would be a good idea to have sex in her boss Nina Reeve’s (Cynthia Watros) office at Deception?

That’s just stupid. It’s stunts like this, in which she pulls Michael into her web, that has some fans fuming.

Granted, that lack of discretion was dressed down by Nina calling her all kinds of names, and shaming Jacinda.

It’s hard to know at this point if Jacinda is serious about wanting to improve herself, but if she is, doesn’t she deserve a chance in PC just like the one Bobbie got?

But first she has to stop with the lies and secrets. Michael convinced her to lie for him to give him an alibi for the night of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting. She’s being paid for that, which is right up her alley.

But more troubling is the fact that she is lying to Michael about that night. She was not alone after they parted ways, she was with Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove).

Jacinda Needs a Helping Hand

Clearly Jacinda needs help getting her stories straight and her life on track. Right now Nina is gaslighting her into thinking that Michael will dump her once he has what he wants. That may be, but Nina has a soft spot for helping girls in trouble.
