There are at least three people, maybe four, for whom Valentin going back to Steinmauer or worse would be perfect, and of course that includes Brennan himself!
Nina Reeves Needs Valentin To Go Down For Her Accidental Crime
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) most of all needs Valentin to go down for her accidental crime-after all, she was aiming for him, and if Brennan recovers, he’ll back her up.
It was just the three of them there-well, except for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) but he’s not going to say anything-Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) made sure of that!
Nina may have felt terrible about accidentally stabbing Jack with the syringe she grabbed as a weapon of opportunity, and hopes Jack realizes she tried to get him to leave for a reason.
Jack, like Drew, can hear and see even though he won’t be able to speak for at least a week, until the medicine wears off; at least Nina and Willow assume.

There is that possibility the paralytic may act differently being injected into muscles near the spine instead of an IV line, and for that matter, Nina could have hit a nerve directly!
Willow Blackmailed Jack, And Valentin Going Down For His Murder Attempt Could Be A Bargaining Chip
Prior to the “big Jack attack” going down, Willow blackmailed him with having funding cut to the WSB, if he didn’t do what she wanted-that traffic cam video destroyed.
She also blackmailed him to make sure that Drew went down for the murder of Judge Eva Heran (Tessa Auberjonois) even though Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was actually responsible.
Willow no longer trusts her mother to get the job done of making an attempt on Jack’s life while he’s down and in the ICU, so she needs to involve Sidwell himself.

Willow and Nina do cooperate on just one thing; the fact that Valentin came to the Cain house to kill Brennan-he had a gun on him, and that’s a fact.
Valentin going down for a second murder attempt of Brennan could be a bargaining chip for Willow, should Jack even survive!
Ross Cullum Knows Valentin Knows Where All The Bodies Are Buried, Including His!
Lastly, Valentin’s being silenced is important to Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) whether framed and convicted for murdering Brennan, or just plain “disappeared”-AKA killed.
Cullum still needs Valentin to remain alive, for crucial information on Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project, which is coming closer to completion, but Valentin was holding back.
Valentin is a danger to Cullum in the sense that Cullum knows that Valentin knows where all the bodies are buried, including Cullum’s-some of them literally!
But Valentin isn’t the only one who’s dangerous to Cullum-Jack is too, because by now Cullum’s discovered Brennan’s been working against him.
So, it would be most advantageous to Cullum to finish Jack off and frame Valentin for the murder, not just the attempt!
