General Hospital Spoilers reveal Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) acted on impulse when he practically barged into Police Commissioner Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office and confessed to having knowledge on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that could put him away for life.
Turning him away due to a lack of evidence — and promising their conversation would never leave that room — Anna dismissed Dec and left him feeling jilted and frustrated.
So when she circles back around asking for his cooperation with Federal Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) in taking Sonny down, he’ll be all for it. But will he be able to ride this out without caving? And will he be able to combat the alliances Sonny has formed with people over the years who continue to have his back?
General Hospital Spoilers — Dex Heller Goes His Own Way
Dex isn’t afraid of Sonny anymore, and he’s not bound by any allegiance to him. At first, when Sonny kicked him out of his business and his life, Dex felt rejected.
He was grateful that his love for Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) was enough for Sonny to consider sparing his life. Now, he’s lost Joss anyway because of the corrupt person he allowed Sonny to mold him into.
Dex sees the only path back to Joss being one paved with every intention of taking Sonny down, and he’ll do whatever it takes to earn back her respect and prove he’s a changed man.
GH Spoilers – Hint Sonny Corinthos’s Time Isn’t Up
Realistically, the timing doesn’t make sense for Sonny to go to prison. This is far from the first time someone has tried to plot his takedown, but rumor has it Dex won’t be successful — not even with the full force of the FBI and PCPD behind him.
Sonny’s empire will strike back, and he’ll have all the ammunition he needs when it comes time for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to prove that he is still someone Sonny can trust with his life. In the end, it sounds like he’ll have to.
General Hospital Spoilers — Jason Morgan Saves The Day
While we don’t yet know what circumstances will arise that land Sonny in hot water, we can surmise that Dex may play a role in making it easier for the feds to collect evidence against the infamous mobster.
Sonny may still have people on his side — like Brick (Stephen A. Smith) — insisting trusting Dex is a mistake, but he’ll be desperate for support inside his flailing organization.
Ultimately, we can trust it’ll be Jason who swoops in and saves the day, but not before Sonny nearly loses everything thanks to his own ego and lack of discernment.
Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers as this storyline continues to heat up.
