General Hospital Spoilers – Jason & Anna’s Shocking Kiss – Was It Cringy Or Steamy?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that writers had been hinting at a potential romance between Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). The two had become friends upon his return to Port Charles earlier this year, and some conflict about him working for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) (which Anna didn’t agree with) seemed to suggest that these two could end up becoming “more than friends”.

That doesn’t mean that their lip lock on the Thursday, September 26th show wasn’t shocking; however, many fans out there thought it was more cringy than steamy.

General Hospital Spoilers – The Robin Scorpio-Drake Factor

GH spoilers reveal that Anna does tend to gravitate toward younger leading men these days; however, the age difference between the two isn’t necessarily why so many fans saw their lip lock as, well, gross.

While Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) alluded to it during the week of September 23, Jason’s special romance and close bond with Anna’s daughter, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) is the elephant in the room for this relationship. It was more than just, “her daughter dated” Jason, they had a history.

After all, Robin sacrificed a lot from 2012 to 2014 for Jason (even though they weren’t together at the time), during a storyline that saw Victor Cassadine (Thaao Penghlis)
holding her hostage at the Crichton-Clark Clinic, while she believed Jason was “frozen”.

With that being said, could things work out romantically between Jason and Anna? Can fans get over the cringe factor of this romance?

GH Spoilers – Jason Morgan Needs A Love Story

At the end of the day, some fans will hate the idea of Anna and Jason together, and some will love it. Jason has been back in Port Charles for months now. When he first returned to town, GH viewers were buzzing with speculation over who he’d reunite with.

After all, great loves, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) could’ve been options, even his bestie with benefits, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

At the end of the day, Sam made it clear that she barely liked Jason at this point (let alone “still love”, while he and Elizabeth seem to be heading toward a nice co-parenting relationship, and Jason and Carly decided that “just friends” works out best for them.

So, what other options does Jason have? Anna has been pushed into his orbit, so love it or hate it, fans will have to see how their romance plays out.
