General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) love story could soon be over. Will some new romantic paths follow Steve Burton’s hiatus?

In the February 16 episode, Britt summoned Jason for a romantic rendezvous and played up how they had to make the most of their time together.

Time is most definitely running out for Jason and Britt since we know Burton has already filmed his last episode for now. If Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) plays a role in Jason’s upcoming exit, then Britt may face some extreme guilt.

No matter how Jason departs, he obviously won’t be around to continue his romance with Britt in the coming months. All the great momentum that Britt and Jason have built is just going to fizzle out.

Steve Burton has done his best to reassure fans that he’s coming back in the summer, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Jason’s future with Britt will remain intact.

Britt and Jason will be ripped apart soon, so there’s no guarantee they’ll be able to get their romance back on track.

GH fans know Jason and Britt have already been down this disappointing road before. Just when it seemed like Britt and Jason had a good thing going, they were torn apart with heartbreaking results.

Britt may be wary of going through another round of devastation once Jason returns down the line. If Britt decides they’re not meant to be and that they shouldn’t keep fighting the forces against them, then she may push Jason away permanently.

There was a lot of buildup to Jason and Britt’s reunion, but some viewers don’t feel like it’s really lived up to the hype. There’s a chance that GH writers will head in some fresh directions following Burton’s hiatus.

That could potentially give Jason a new love interest while Britt gets one of her own. Perhaps this could be an opportunity to try something else and deliver some different pairings.
