General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Buries Stone Cold – His Emotional New Life Stuns Port Charles

Jason's heartbreaking reunion with Danny could mark a major turning point as fatherhood, mob life, and his Quartermaine legacy force him to rethink everything.

General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Buries Stone Cold - His Emotional New Life Stuns Port CharlesGeneral Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came back to PC this week and immediately left again.

Only two people saw him and maybe that’s for the best. Jason went straight to his son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and before they could abscond Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) caught them.

Jason explained that he and Danny need to spend some time together out of town for a while and Tracy agreed.

Jason looked like death warmed over and we think that could be a sign of things to come: is it time for Stone Cold to die and Jason to become the Quartermaine he was born to be?

Maybe that’s putting it a bit harshly. But the fact remains that show spoilers tease many upcoming changes for Jason and his captivity obviously left him a shell of himself.

Here are three reasons we think Jason needs to change into a gentler, kinder version of the man he needs to be.

Key Takeaways

  • Jason puts Danny first after returning.
  • Mob life may no longer be worth the cost.
  • Fatherhood could reshape Jason’s future.
  • Tracy helps Jason embrace his Quartermaine roots.
  • A kinder, changed Jason may emerge.

1. Danny Needs a Dad

First of all, Jason needs to step up for his son who showed how much he is like his rebel dad while he was away.

Danny needs firm guidance and none of his extended family members were able to control him with Jason out of the picture.

This was extremely evident when Danny ratted out his brother Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), something Jason was shocked and dismayed to hear about n the July 14 epsiode.

2. Mobbing Ain’t Easy

Second, Jason is a little old for the leather jacket; at least when it comes accessorized with a shotgun. All signs point to Jason telling Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) he wants out of mobbing, like yesterday.

The lifestyle is too dangerous and it’s a dead-end example for impressionable Danny. Jason had already indicated he wanted out and we predict he makes this non-negotiable as soon as he returns home with Danny.

3. Jason Returns to His Roots

Jason has obviously grown into his role as a Quartermaine, living at the Q mansion and growing closer to Tracy.

It’s been decades since an accident robbed him of his memories but it’s never too late to go home.
We’re not saying he needs to or ever would put on a suit and tie–that’s what Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is for.

But he could settle down a bit more and lean into his past, his heritage as a Q.
