General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Puts Diane In An Awkward Position — Can She Help Him Without Compromising Her Relationship With Sonny?

General Hospital spoilers report Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) didn’t hesitate to reach out to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) for help when he knew it was time to turn himself in.

It was the end of the line regarding how much Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) could continue helping him, and he knew he wasn’t going to get very far trying to make a run for it out of town. Diane was more than welcoming of his call. In fact, she questioned why it didn’t come sooner.

Prepared to get him cleared of all charges, has Diane given it a second thought as to how her support of Jason might hurt her personal and professional relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?

General Hospital Spoilers — Diane Miller Trusts Jason Morgan

Jason isn’t willing to clue Diane in on where he’s been or what he’s up to. He’s not even sharing details of what happened the night that an attempt was made on Sonny’s life and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) ended up shot.

Miraculously, Diane isn’t pushing either. She’s not surprised that Jason thinks he has this under control, and she’s not questioning his ability to get out of trouble on his own.

If that’s what he says, she’ll defer to his opinion. But her mere presence there backing him up will soon get back to Sonny — and it better come from her lips.

GH Spoilers – Suggest News Travels Fast

If Diane has any chance at smoothing things over when Sonny finds out what she’s done, she will have to explain why she took Jason’s call and sped to his rescue. Sonny is likely to call her out for not insisting helping him would be a conflict of interest.

After all, Jason was wanted in connection with shooting Sonny’s son. Diane might be able to encourage Sonny to consider that Jason isn’t guilty, but his lack of explanation won’t leave the don feeling warm and fuzzy about his former best friend.

Moreover, if Sonny hears of Diane’s participation from someone else — like Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) or Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) — he just might blow up before she can get a word out in defense of herself.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Keeps Making Cuts

Sonny has grown rather used to cutting people out of his life in recent months. When he learned Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) betrayed his trust, he gave her the boot just months following their wedding day.

When he found out his other son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), conspired to take him down and later reneged only to employ Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to babysit him, he kicked Dex out of his business and out of town — and Michael got pushed to the sidelines in his life.

Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) involvement even earned her a spot on the bench as Sonny pulled away and stopped trusting all of them. If Diane thinks she’s any more protected than Michael, Dex, Nina, and Carly were, she’s got another thing coming.

Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this pans out for the hot shot attorney.

I usually like Sonny, but his attitude toward Jason has me not liking him much at the moment. After all he and Jason have been through together, Jason has never betrayed him, yet Sonny is ready to believe he’s guilty. I realize he’s upset cause it’s Dante who got shot, but until he has more facts, Jason deserves the benefit of the doubt. Sonny knows Jason better than almost anyone, and he’s always been loyal, so Sonny needs to take a seat and stop listening to Ava.
That being said, Sonny does not own Diane, or have any say over who she takes on as a client. And, does she even know that Sonny doesnt believe in Jason’s innocence? If they haven’t talked, she’d have no reason to think otherwise. Not that she should give Sonny any say in the matter!
