All he has to do is let Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) go free but that also means giving up leverage. Taking Cyrus at his word is a huge gamble. GH spoilers reveal that Carly kidnapped a little old lady from an assisted care facility. However, this wasn’t a random senior citizen she snatched. It was Cyrus’ mother, Florence Grey. Despite her not being Cyrus’ biggest fan, he remains loyal to his mother. In fact, ever since Florence was taken from the facility and taken to another location, Cyrus has been trying to get her back. While many situations and people can be dealt with quickly and harshly by Cyrus, this is not one of them.

GH Spoilers – Cyrus Renault’s Frustration

Even though Florence was kidnapped a while ago, Cyrus still hasn’t managed to get his mother back. At the same time, he needs to be careful with this dilemma. He can’t handle this as he would in other situations. Despite his failed attempts to have Florence turned over to him, he isn’t going to give up. In fact, he comes up with another plan and this time, Jason and Carly might not be able to say no.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Cyrus approached Peter August (Wes Ramsey). The two made a deal after Cyrus mentioned Peter trying so desperately to keep his secrets from getting out. As viewers know, Jason ended up being arrested for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder, a crime that Peter actually committed. Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) lied to the police about Franco’s death. She claimed to have seen Jason getting rid of the murder weapon. However, there isn’t an ounce of truth to Gladys’ story. In fact, Jason’s arrest was orchestrated by Cyrus himself.

GH Spoilers – The High Price Of Freedom

Jason and Carly are both determined for the truth to come out before he goes to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. As things get messier and dicier, that determination is turning into desperation. This is exactly what Cyrus is counting on and how he plans on getting his mother back. He guarantees that Jason won’t have to worry about murder charges or a prison sentence. If he sets Florence free, then Jason will be set free, as well. However, what that means is giving up their leverage.

Even though Cyrus can have Gladys recant her statement, he isn’t exactly known for his trustworthiness. How will Jason and Carly make sure that Cyrus keeps his word and follows through? Plus, there is another issue that needs to be discussed. Even though in the heat of the moment, Cyrus just wants his mother returned safely, he’s not going to forgive and target. The minute he gets Florence back he could decide to punish his foes. They kept Florence for a long time and Cyrus isn’t used to not being able to take what he wants. He’s going to want them to pay a price. Now, whether that is lying about having Gladys recant or if he has a different type of consequences in mind remains to be seen. We will have to keep watching the ABC soap to find out how this story progresses over the next few weeks.
