General Hospital Spoilers: Jens Austin Astrup Joining The Cast – New Romance For Trina Robinson

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note a new face is about to pop up in the land of Port Charles, who could possibly become the new man in Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) life. Actor Jens Austin Astrup will be joining the ABC soap as Kai, very soon. Learn more about this exciting casting news, below.

General Hospital Spoilers – Kai’s Debut On The Canvas

Astrup will be playing the character Kai, who is set to debut sometime during November sweeps. He’ll be introduced to fans when Trina meets him at Port Charles University.

Not much more has been revealed about the character or his potential ties to the little town, so fans will need to stay tuned to GH and CTS for more information as it trickles down the pipes.

A newcomer to daytime drama, Astrup is a native of LA and graduate of Vassar, where he studied literature and acting. He’s had appearances on Max’s Gossip Girl reboot and starred in Pasadena Playhouse’s Cyrano de Bergerac.

GH Spoilers – Trina Robinson’s Love Life

Trina has struggled with the loss of her first love, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). The young man was presumed dead in late January of this year, after he fell off a ship trying to save her life when Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) attempted to inject her with an unknown drug.

While there were hints that Nicholas Chavez would be returning to the soap sometime this summer, his career has exploded. Chavez has been seen in Netflix’s Monsters series as Lyle Menendez as of late, as well as Father Charlie on FX’s Grotesquerie.

Chavez has stated while the door may be open for a return, there’s nothing in the immediate future that indicates he’d come back as Spencer.

Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) entered the canvas in May 2024 as seemingly a possible love interest for Trina.

Unfortunately, the chemistry between the two hasn’t been overly steamy, so it looks as if the soap will be bringing in a new character. Will Kai and Trina share explosive sparks? Only time will tell.
