General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal everyone in Port Charles breathed a big sigh of relief when Ryan Chamberlain was killed by Mac Scorpio (John J. York) back in 2023.
Still, “everyone” breathed a big sigh of relief when Ryan first died in 1995 but ended up very much alive in 2018.
GH Spoilers: Could Ryan Chamberlain Return?
Anything is possible in the land of Port Charles, and Soaps.com recently asked actor Jon Lindstrom what his thoughts were around another run for Ryan.
Lindstrom notes that “he just doesn’t know” if bringing Ryan back is plausible, as “we all saw him dead in a body bag.” It’s important for fans to remember that back in 1995, Ryan was presumed dead from an explosion. There’s such a big difference from his passing last year.

Still, as Jon’s interview with Soaps.com progressed, the actor entertained an interesting idea. He notes that daytime writers are both resourceful and creative, so if there is a will, there can be a way!
Lindstrom goes on to say, “It won’t be up to me; I can tell you that.” He adds that if the GH writers wanted to resurrect Ryan, he would “jump in right away.”
At the end of the day, there’s really one horrifying way that Ryan could still be alive, and that’s if he slipped places with his twin brother, Kevin Collins, at some point that fateful night when “Ryan” was shot by Mac.
Fans noticed an odd change over Kevin after Ryan’s death and had speculated months after Chamberlain’s passing that this may have been the case; however, Kevin has somewhat slipped back into his old self with no real signs that he could be Ryan. Still, that doesn’t mean this storyline couldn’t happen at some point in the future.
Then again, what Kevin and Ryan may not be twins … maybe they are simply two siblings that are part of a trio … triplets! Anything can happen in soaps, right?

Not Ryan Chamberlain again. That’s the writer’s being lazy and not coming up with new storylines. A third time of Ryan would be a GH killer.

I agree with the previous comments about Ryan Chamberlain. Keep him dead! Also the soap definitely needs some cleaning up with the current storylines. Be original and not following the other soaps with Sonny’s bi-polar issues. The writers for Y&R have ruined this soap with what they’re doing with Ashley Abbot (Eileen Davidson) character. It’s down right ridiculous. I know many fans of the soap who have stopped watching it because of this! Sonny needs integrity and intervention help! Give him this please!!! Carley who knows Sonny better than anyone needs to be the one to figure this out !! Bring these two back together. They belong together!!
Yes, Carly and Jason knows Sonny best and needs to figure it out that Valentin is behind it and that Ava knew. So they can get what they deserves. Sonny and Carly needs to be back together, give me the old Sonny back!!. The Ashley storyline on Y&R the Dissociative identity disorder (DID), was done on One Life To Live (OLTL) to Vickie Lord’s (EriKa Slezek) character that is how Nickie (one of Vickie’s alter) came about. This is a real mental illness. I just hope they get Ashley’s character the help she needs. And get this storyline over with.

Maybe it’s just me, but isn’t ryan missing his right hand? So that would be interesting to explain that one…lol
From the other comments, I’m gonna post an unpopular opinion. I wouldn’t mind seeing Ryan again. Not that I miss the character, but Jon Lindstrom is a phenomenal actor and as Ryan, he gets to show more of what he can do. I love Kevin, but he doesn’t do much, and doesn’t give Jon the opportunity to use his incredible acting skills. Seeing Kevin, and then Ryan, and how he makes them feel like 2 different people is amazing. I never feel like I’m watching the same guy playing 2 different parts. So, it wouldn’t have to be Ryan, but I wish they’d find some way to utilize his considerable skills in a juicy storyline. I don’t think Ryan switched places with Kevin, because Ryan’s missing a hand, and even the best prosthetic hand wouldn’t fool everyone. Especially not Laura. Maybe Kevin could suffer some trauma that caused his personality to “split” between him and Ryan. Or maybe he already split and we just haven’t seen it yet. Something would have to trigger it.

NO! Enough of Ryan Chamberlain. IMPORTANT: I don’t ever … ever … ever want you doing anything to mess up Laura’s marriage to Kevin. Please leave a good marriage in Soaps alone. PLEASE! We need some goodness in today’s messed up society.
