General Hospital Spoilers: Jophielle Love Talks About Port Charles Exit – “My GH Family Is Like A Second Family”

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that there wasn’t a dry eye in any fans’ house during the Monday, October 21 episode when Violet Finn officially left Port Charles. Now that her dad Dr. Hamilton Finn (Micheal Easton) is out of rehab, he decided it was best to start a fresh chapter by moving to Seattle.

The scenes between Violet and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), Brook Lynn Chase (Amanda Setton), as well as Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) were both emotional and heartfelt.

Actress Jophielle Love recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about her GH exit and what the show meant to her.

GH Spoilers – Violet Finn’s History In Port Charles

Interestingly enough, Violet entered the canvas on October 23, 2019, playing the offspring of Finn and Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig). Jophielle states that she remembered bonding with her onscreen parents right away. The young actress states that she, “… loved fixing Michael’s hair before each scene.”

Five years with the soap, and Jophielle notes to SOD, “My GH family is like a second family to me.” Adding that Violet losing her grandfather Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) and then Finn going to rehab shortly after that was challenging.

Jophielle admits, “These past few months have been pretty hard. We had a sweet family, and everyone disappeared, one after another.”

GH Spoilers – Smiling Through The Tears

Jophielle stated that she could relate to Violet as she was going through her onscreen goodbyes. While the young girl was happy to reunite with her dad, she was sad to leave her aunt, uncle, and Tracy behind.

The actress tells SOD, “… I felt just like that on this last day. It was almost like crying while smiling … and then I realized I was the one going through that door!”

She adds, “The thing is, I love being with everyone at work. I love making jokes, playing hide and seek with the people in the costume department.” It’s clear that Jophielle enjoyed her time on the soap.

Still, while Violet has left, there’s always a chance she could return, and the Q mansion door would be wide open if the little girl needed a place to call home. Love reveals that she would embrace the idea of returning to GH, at any point in time.
