General Hospital Spoilers: Kathleen Gati Talks About The Success of On-Screen Son Ryan Paevey

Kathleen Gati, also known as Liesl Obrecht on “General Hospital” is nothing but happy for the success of her on-screen son, Ryan Paevey. The actor, who used to play Nathan West on the soap, has been keeping himself busy with one project after another.

Although Gati hasn’t worked with Paevey since he left the show, the actress, along with her husband Michael Bowers, has watched all of Paevey’s Hallmark Channel movies. Watching the actor’s excellent performance in every movie has left his on-screen mother, more proud than ever.

Gati said, “We’re so proud of him,” she grinned to Soaps In Depth. “We’re like his second parents. When we see his movies are coming on, we’re like, ‘Oh, let’s record that!’”

“He’s a good leading man, and the audience loves him. And yes, he’s good-looking, but he also has a good heart. The goodness comes through his heart,” she continued.

“We’ve been buddies for a long time. When I worked on ARROW in Vancouver, he was there doing a Hallmark movie and we got together and had a great dinner and drinks. I really love that guy!” she added.

Is Paevey Returning to General Hospital?

Gati and Bowers are not the only ones who’ve missed the actor. “General Hospital” fans have been urging the actor to return to the show. Viewers may recall that his character was killed off in February 2018. But anything is possible in the soap world and that includes bringing back the fan-favorite Nathan West.

Although Paevey has expressed his willingness to return to the show, he made it clear that there’s no news of his character coming back just yet.

The actor said, “My team and I and the GH powers that be would have to have a serious sit down about that….but for now, let’s chalk them up to fond memories.”
