While Kelly Monaco does use social media, she only uses it when she has a very special message to send.

Unlike many fellow soap stars, Kelly Monaco, who plays Sam McCall on General Hospital doesn’t use her social media accounts often. When she does, you have to know she is sending out a special message for a good reason.

General Hospital News – Kelly Monaco reaches out to her fans

In the past, some fans have been unkind to Kelly on social media, treating her badly via tweets, which caused her to stay away from Twitter for a while, but this changed on Sunday. Kelly hit Twitter that day to send a special message to her fans. The message thanked her fans for sticking by her, whatever happens in the storyline.

Using the #nobulliesallowed and #gh hashtags, Monaco sent a tweet that read: “Good morning Sam fans. Just a little appreciation post for all of the extraordinary people who show me and my character so much love every day. Your support doesn’t go unnoticed. I adore all of you. I refuse to let the haters shine brighter than love. #gh #nobulliesallowed.”

She accompanied her message to fans with a symbol of positivity in the form of an image of a rainbow unicorn.

GH News – Fans have bullied each other over who Sam McCall should be with

In the past, a number of fans have gone to the extreme on Twitter, bullying each other about who Sam should be with. Does she belong with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) or with his brother, Drew Cain (Billy Miller)?

Despite the fact that Drew is allegedly dead, there is still a number of fans who still hope Drew will return and that Sam will be with him. Sensible fans, of course, know that Sam will choose whoever screenwriters decide she should!

Knowing all that, Kelly still wants her fans to all to get along, so she decided to let her fans know just how much it means to her that they stick by her, whatever happens, through thick and thin, over the many years she has been on General Hospital.
