Billy and Kelly as Jason And Sam Became A Controversial Topic Among Fans
When Billy came on as “the new Jason Morgan” in 2014, fans of Steve Burton’s (the “old” Jason Morgan) nearly immediately started becoming militant that no one could replace Steve as Jason Morgan. Of course, what those fans do not understand is that actors may not want to be typecast as one character or character type, and may want to expand their acting repertoire and spread their wings. Others stay in the same role for years if possible because it provides job security.
When Steve left, it was his choice, although fans were confused at his reasoning of wanting to be closer to his family, who all had moved to the Nashville, Tennessee area only to see him show up on the CBS soap The Young and The Restless as Dylan McAvoy not too long afterwards; since that time the Burtons moved back closer to Hollywood. The “JASAM” fans would attack Billy and Kelly on social media, and they basically got tired of it and stopped using social media, Billy entirely and Kelly only occasionally. Kelly’s tweet shows this is a major upset for her.

Although neither Billy nor Kelly have ever confirmed it, they may be much more than just close friends in real life, and when they were posting on their social media prior to all the JASAM camp attacks, there were plenty of pictures that seemed to confirm it.
Assuming then that they are in touch in real life and not just set mates, Kelly’s heart and desire to tell Billy’s truth of his separation from General Hospital when maybe he feels uncomfortable about telling what really may have happened and taking up for Billy in this way may prove that there is more to the story of his leaving GH than what has been told. As she wrote “more to come” we will definitely be keeping an eye out on what else Kelly has to say about the matter.

Absolutely!! Unfortunately I was one of those fans that threw a fit when Steve Burton left and then Billy Miller showed up, but I have come to love him!! He is a wonderful addition to the cast and his scenes with all the characters have been wonderful, especially with Oscar!! For the producers and writers to write him out is asinine!! I can only assume that they don’t care anything about the fans at all! This is another reason to finally abandon GH!! Sorry cast, but enough is enough!!
Frank kowtowed to Burton’s bullying & fired Billy Miller. It’s well-known that Miller & Monaco are in a relationship. Burton made some kind of vile move against Kelly & Miller went after Burton. It’s been downhill for them ever since. Kinda ironic that Miller was so kind to Burton when Phelps brought him in at Y&R, then Phelps turns around and dumps Miller & Muhney to make her boy toy the star of the show. Burton is a total creep.

When Billy Miller first came on the show, I was not sure that it would work. I had been a long time viewer and thought that he could not replace the previous actor. The transformation of the character from John Doe to Drew Cain became his own character and not the previous actor. Both actors are excellent in my opinion and I think it would of been an asset for General Hospital to explore the memory aspect. It is a shame that we will not see the future talents of Billy Miller on General Hospital. Hopefully, he will again shine elsewhere. I do give the writers credit for the storyline that transformed but Billy pulled the transformation to reality for the show.

I agree with your comments, except on this: Miller & Monaco have a strong brother-sister relationship. They are both public figures, so they’re good with letting that friendship be seen. No, that’s not correct. They are best friends. Kelly and his girlfriend, whose name is kept private (and whose name is not Kelly), get along very well. It’s 2019. Believe it or not, men & women can be close friends while somehow not having intercourse. Kelly’s advocating for him is based on doing what’s right & her being of good character, not based on some romantic pining-away.

Miller left YR because they would not work with him with time off to do other projects. GH did, he only signed 1 yr contracts. He told Burton he was going to take the role of JM when it was offered and Burton told him he thought he would be a great JM and wished him well. He even said Jason Quartermaine/Morgan was an integral part of GH and knew the role would eventually be recast. He left YR bc he finally had a chance to start Burton Nutrition. GH asked SB back after he won his emmy for YR and he reciprocated by letting BM know he was coming back. They were all fine. It is the fans who are speculating . You can see from BM acting during the Oscar sl. . Even his co stars had issues with him . Notice no big fanfare when he left, right? Because half those people were happy. Billy was fired because he was not doing his job. He also did not get along with this co-workers. BM was fired because of BM, no one else, just like any other job. You don’t do your job, they fire you, simple as that. Notice no big fan fare from co workers! No good bye cake, nothing. Because a lot did not get along with him. KM and BM are friends, so of course she was upset. But not her fault he was fired. He signs 1 yr only and they did not renew his contract. End of story.

I don’t know where you got your info, Steve Burton played the better Jason Morgan because he is the one and only Jason Morgan. The writers wrote BM to play JM like Jason Q and that was even worse and then rewrote Sam to HIS version of JM. Sam was written out of character for BM’s Jason. Sam never had a problem with JM work as a hitman. She never judged him. All yall loving BM as Jason either just started watching or have no clue who JM is or Sam McCall. Sam became some kind of stepford wife. Doing everything BM Jason wanted and it was OOC. When the real Jason came back, they brought back the real Sam McCall. So you may have liked her as a home body with BM and behind the desk at Aurora, but that was Sam and owning a media co, damn sure wasnt Jason. Thank God OGJasam are back!
For real. Being a BM fan from YR, I really liked him as Jake Doe. He was horrible as Jason and he was boring as Drew. Sorry to say, he will not really be missed on screen. He will be a blip. I agree with everything you said in your post with regard to what BM brought to GH. I’m not a BM hater- I was always a fan of SB, but if he had been good in the show as Jake Doe/Jason Morgan, he would have been good as Drew.
I assumed he must be with KM, because how else could such an, I’m sorry, awful actor with a monotone, flat affect get a job in an iconic lead role on the only soap left standing on ABC? If anyone saw him in his small roles on Suits and Ray Donovan- he had the exact same flat, emotionless quality, only with 4 letter words allowed that Drew does. In fact, it was like watching Drew as a cop on RD.
He just is not a good actor on a show where there are people like Roger Howarth and Maura West to name two, that are amazing…but he must have a great agent, so for all of you who think he is just the ‘best’, he’ll find another gig soon enough I’m sure.
