As many fans know, Kim has always been a very dedicated mother. She loves her son, who has been very willing in getting to know his biological father. But up until now, she’s never told anyone that her son Oscar is actually dying from brain cancer. In fact, she hasn’t even told Oscar (Garren Stitt) about his condition, either.
And while there has never been a sign of anything that has gone wrong, Kim alone now decides who gets to know what about her son’s condition. And while Drew is now involved, he did bring up the point that Oscar needs to be told. After all, she has been playing with his life in her hands.
Many critics have noted that Kim hasn’t been trying to protect Oscar from the truth. Instead, she’s been protecting herself. Now it’s a matter of trying to figure out why she kept his diagnosis from everyone. There’s a strong possibility that her unwillingness, to tell the truth, might hurt her relationship with Oscar, or worse, destroy it altogether. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!

I think she should’ve told Oscar along time ago when she found out his condition of brain cancer. So yes she should tell him it’s his body, and hope and pray he still wants his mother by his side through all if his treatments, because he will her her.
He needs to know so he can plan his life he has left
I get why Kim may not have wanted to tell Oscar about the tumor and that he most likely is going to die when he wasn’t showing symptoms but now that he has collapsed he needs to know before something else happens. For example he could collapse again and no one might be around to help him.Plus Oscar’s not stupid.Yes he might believe he fainted because he didn’t eat one time but he may believe it a second time.Plus it might be better that Oscar hears it from his parents in a comfortable setting where it’s just the 3 of them and not in front of other people.
