General Hospital Spoilers – Kimberly McCullough Has Moved Away From Acting More And More For The Past Decade

As General Hospital viewers may have noticed, Kimberly has moved away from acting more and more for the past decade and has been seen less and less frequently as Dr. Robin Scorpio-Drake, a role she has played since she was seven years old, although her first acting job was in a diaper commercial opposite actress Juliet Mills at the age of seven months!

General Hospital fans literally watched her grow up before their eyes as the daughter of super spies Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). She has been focusing on a new career, directing, and just in the past half of the decade she has directed 25 episodes of television series in the latter part of the decade. Series directed include; The Bold Type, Carol’s Second Act, Almost Family, Roswell and more.

Kimberly’s post read, “This decade I … Picked the right guy, lost a baby, had a baby, found my Jack, moved into my dream home, got my DGA card, worked with talented and kind people, retired from acting, became a Ojai mom , received a hand written note from Kyle MacLachlan and directed 25 episodes of television. It’s been a wild ride and I’m grateful.” Her television mom, Finola Hughes responded with “YASSSS! GENIUS!” and her television daughter, Brooklyn Rae Silzer who plays Emma Scorpio-Drake responded with “Love you” and four hearts.

General Hospital Spoilers – The Character Robin Scorpio Was Introduced On General Hospital In 1985 And Was A Shock To Robert Scorpio

Robin Scorpio was introduced on General Hospital in 1985 and shocked Robert Scorpio as she walked in and said, “Hi, my name is Robin” and wore a fluffy bouffant dress and in short order, Robert found out he and Anna had a daughter that Anna had never told him about until they met when Robin was seven.

Robin would go on to live with her uncle Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and his wife Felicia Jones Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and step cousins Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Georgie Jones (Lindze Letherman) as a teenager when Anna and Robert were presumed dead in an explosion, and was a central figure in a storyline about the then emerging disease of AIDS, where her first boyfriend Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) died in her arms and she herself contracted HIV.

As a result of that experience, Robin determined to fight the disease and became a doctor, and a brilliant one at that, developing many life-saving protocols for seriously ill patients over the years and even seemingly resurrecting one or two who were frozen and kept in stasis, including the rescue of who she thought was her presumed dead best friend Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) but it turned out to be his previously unknown twin Drew Cain (Billy Miller).

General Hospital fans will miss seeing Robin on General Hospital, but General Hospital spoilers wish her the best in her directing career! Stay tuned to GH and keep checking General Hospital spoilers for all the latest news, updates and developments!
