Kirsten Storms, also known as Maxie Jones on “General Hospital,” is not keeping quiet when it comes to the subject of bullying. Just like several other celebrities, she’s using her platform to speak out against this kind of behavior.
Bullying isn’t something new to the actress and she knows exactly what these kids are going through. She has had her own share of negative and hurtful comments, particularly on social media.
General Hospital News – “Hat Not Hate” Anti-Bullying Campaign
“The Lion Brand Yarn ‘Hat Not Hate’ campaign, that brings awareness to bullying, makes me so proud to be a Lion Brand customer,” the actress said.
“As soon as I’m done with my current knitting project for our knit-along (I’ve been out the last few days with the flu — bear with me) I plan to knit a few blue beanies and send them into the ‘Hat Not Hate’ headquarters,” she continued.
Lion Brand Yarn is working with STOMP Out Bullying to raise awareness about the topic by encouraging their crocheters and knitters to use at least one of their free patterns to make hats using blue yarn. They are also urged to share their progress using the hasHtag #HatNotHate.
GH News – A Simple Reminder To Be Kind To Others
Storms revealed that the finished hats are given out to schools in different parts of the country to serve as a reminder that they need to be kind to one another especially those who are different from them.
“We are all different from each other. That’s what makes us special. It’s what makes us human,” she explained.
“I’ve mentioned on my page before that kindness and positivity towards others is so important,” the actress added.
“You truly never know what another individual’s life is like, what their hidden struggles are — or what your words could do to them. Be a light in someone’s day. I’d rather be remembered for spreading love than hate. Love lasts longer,” she continued.

General Hospital Spoilers – For Wednesday, February 25
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will have enough of Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) drama. He’ll insist that she needs to face her own problems, something that Brook won’t be too happy about.
Meanwhile, Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) will have an awkward conversation with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). Dustin wants someone else but Olivia says she’ll have to do. Olivia can’t take seeing Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) move on with someone else and that’s why she’ll want to make it hard for Dustin, too.
Elsewhere, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will hear some hard truths from Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla). The latter thinks Josslyn is going overboard with her journal thing and believes it’s time to steer her in the right direction.
