Now that the truth is out, she is shell-shocked, but is still hesitant to believe it. When asked why she can’t see the truth about Peter even with evidence, the actress explained Maxie is blinded by love.

GH spoilers reveal that people warned Maxie about Peter in different ways. Some were subtle about it, while others were a bit more outspoken. However, she refused to listen and truly believed he was a good man. She thought he was a reformed man. She was also desperate for everyone else to see the Peter that she saw. It was something that put her under a great deal of stress, but she insisted on marrying him anyway.

Last week, we saw Maxie react to the bombshells and revelations about Peter. At first, she assumed they were bringing up his past and he was different now. Then, she was in denial, then shock, and now she’s in the hospital still trying to process everything. She’s asking questions and demanding to know why nobody told her before.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that at the same time, Maxie also insists that Peter would never hurt her. That makes us concerned that she will go ahead and marry him. Especially since there is a spoiler that states Maxie makes the decision that is best for her.

General Hospital Spoilers & Updates – Kirsten Storms Explains

In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest spoilers, Storms explains that everything is going to be okay with Maxie. But at the same time, she asks for fans’ understanding in why she keeps falling for Peter’s lies.

“I would say that ‘love is blind’ is the best way to explain that. I’ve been frustrated at times, too, and I’ve thought, ‘Maxie’s smarter than this, she would know something’s up here,’ and then I check myself and remember I was in a relationship not too long ago for several years with somebody who I continued to convince myself was one person and he was not… I know the fans don’t want to see her have the wool pulled over her eyes, but I think things will pan out to be okay.”

We will find out this week Maxie’s decision about Peter. While we hope she walks away from him, there is always a chance that she won’t, especially when she said “but he would never hurt me.” We will have to keep watching the ABC soap to see how this story develops.
