General Hospital (GH) spoilers note a major recast on the horizon in Port Charles. News broke last week that actress Lexi Ainsworth was out as Kristina Corinthos-Davis and former Days of Our Lives Abigail Deveraux, Kate Mansi, was recast in the part. This is a major move on the soap’s part, so fans can’t help but speculate that some big storylines may be coming down the pipe for Kristina.
General Hospital Spoilers – Some Fans Forget That Kristina Corinthos-Davis Is Part Cassadine
GH spoilers state that Ms. Mansi will enter Port Chuckles the week of May 22nd. Kristina currently has a very low-key storyline involving her and her dad Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
She approached him a while ago looking for funding to open a restaurant. He declined the help, saying that it would take away from her volunteering in helping youth, and affect her work at Charlie’s.
With that said, he recently “surprised” Kristina with a gift: opening a charity in her name and providing listings for possible properties to open a shelter for homeless youth.
Moreover, Sonny’s bond with Kristina is a current reminder to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) that the mob boss isn’t as bad as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has made him out to be.
The most interesting thing about the Kristina character is that many fans sometimes forget she’s not only part-Corinthos, she’s also part-Cassadine. Her mom Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) often falls off the Cassadine radar.
Maybe it’s because she doesn’t partake in her family’s drama, but at the end of the day, Kristina does have ties to the Cassadine clan, whether she likes it or not.
GH Spoilers – Mason Gatlin Will Soon Enter The Picture
GH spoilers for May Sweeps hint that Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) will soon enter storylines with sketchy orders for Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth). As Mason has yet to re-enter the Port Charles picture, could his return come at the same time as Kristina’s recast?
Mansi was surely brought in to transition the Kristina character and turn it into something of her own, so perhaps the young lady’s storyline will intertwine with Mason’s. Maybe she’s the one giving him his orders?
Corinthos-Davis has probably learned a trick or two from her dad, over the years. Holding Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) doesn’t make too much sense; however, he is her cousin.
Ensuring he gets the best medical care and taking care of him while he’s down and out could be the reason. She may also be looking for a way to pay back Ava for what she’s done, which may be sticky since Jerome is her half-sister Avery Corinthos’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) mom.

Terrible idea. Stupid string pulling for no reason. This reminds me of the insanity of most of last when the writers were grabbing at straws.
This doesn’t really make sense. How would she have become involved with the Gatlin-Holt family? This situation has been going on for some time now according to the conversations Austin and Mason have had. How would Kristina have gotten so much power? Just on her name? I’m not buying it.
A few months ago on this website they stated the Jerome sister in jail was the one calling the shots to Mason. It makes me wonder where they get their info from.
Frank went a different direction when he cast LM before bringing Lexi back. Appears he plans to leave the old Kristina behind. It does seem difficult to imagine KM having the same father daughter chemistry LA has.
