ABC General Hospital spoilers indicate that Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is on a mission to clear her name and restore her reputation in Port Charles, New York but will it happen? Maybe. She is hoping that she will be able to clear her name by proving that it was General Hospital Peter August (Wes Ramsey) responsible for the death of Drew Cain (Billy Miller) and the attempted murder of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). General Hospital Spoilers Insights

Even though Liesl has been absent from all the action in Port Charles since April, she’s back and from what we can tell already, she’s more determined than ever before. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Kathleen Gati, who plays Liesl on the hit ABC soap, it certainly felt good for the casting department to call her and let her know that her character is coming back to do some “dastardly deeds.”

Kathleen says that when her character was shipped to The Hague earlier this year, she wasn’t sure if she would be coming back to General Hospital at all. She told Soap Opera Digest, “There is always the possibility on any show that you will be left to tot in a jail, chopped up to pieces, or sent off to another country. But I’m always hopeful that Liesl will return to wreak havoc!

I always miss it when I’m not there, and when I return, it’s always great to see everybody and get back to work. And this time was no different. I adore portraying Liesl and love working with the great material the writers give me, as well as always having amazing actors to work with.”

What’s In Store For Liesl Obrecht This Time Around?

Now, whether or not Liesl will be able to clear her name and put the blame on Peter August for everything that has happened up to this point remains to be seen. If she’s managed to get out of trouble in the past, she can certainly manage it again.
