General Hospital Spoilers: Liz’s Parents Lied: Jeff Pushed Reiko

General Hospital spoilers tease, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) has been tormented for months by the sporadic memory of a scuffle she had with Reiko Finn (Mele Ihara). Things came full circle for Liz recently when she went to see her parents — Jeff Webber (William R. Moses) and Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby) — after more than 25 years of barely speaking to them.

Elizabeth’s brief conversation with her parents led to a revelation that she did catch her father cheating with Reiko, and she subsequently pushed her down a flight of stairs. Reiko sustained injuries that led to the need for a blood transfusion, and that is how she contracted Blackwood’s Disease, which claimed her life. At least, that’s the story Liz’s parents coaxed her into believing.

General Hospital Spoilers — Jeff Webber Pushed Reiko Webber Down The Stairs

All those years ago on the islands, Elizabeth may have gotten into an argument with Reiko, but she didn’t remember pushing her until she was standing in her parent’s living room listening to her mother walk her through it. It’s quite possible Jeff actually pushed Reiko down the stairs, and he and Carolyn let Elizabeth think it was her fault.

They were two prominent physicians assisting with Doctors Without Borders, and Jeff’s affair and subsequent violence against Reiko could’ve finished them both and tanked their careers. Blaming it on their daughter — a minor at the time — might’ve been their get out of jail free card to wipe the slate clean with their careers, even if it destroyed their family.

GH Spoilers – Tease Heather Webber Was Right

When Heather Webber (Alley Mills) was recently transported from D’Archem to GH for a health problem, she spouted a grave warning to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about Elizabeth’s father. Heather insisted Jeff was a sinister man who had bad intentions. She knew him well as a man who could gaslight someone into thinking they were crazy. Of course, these ramblings were coming from a legitimately “crazy” woman; so Finn wrote them off as best he could. But they might come back to haunt him.

Elizabeth’s parents are both trained professionals and Carolyn could have helped to convince Elizabeth she did something she didn’t do.
