General Hospital spoilers gossip Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was about to open up to his dad, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but he stopped short of telling him what is really going on. He doesn’t know how to navigate the road ahead, but he does know he’s been far more inclined to act like his father in recent years than his mother.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) might give him more stable advice, but that doesn’t mean Sonny’s would be all that bad.

However, Michael has been keen on seeking revenge in recent years — a streak that clearly stems from his upbringing between these two parents and a long line of Quartermaine lineage. Is Michael actually afraid of losing his marriage, or is he more afraid of how he will react if he does?

When Michael initially saw the nursery footage of Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) together, he was appalled. Furious.

Disgusted. He tucked it away and kept the secret of his knowledge to himself, because his instinct wasn’t to confront his wife but to think about what he should do with this information first. Strategy to protect himself was Michael’s instinctual priority over protecting his marriage.

It seems that Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) is nowhere on Michael’s mind, despite the fact that he too stepped out on his marriage and had an affair. Maybe it wasn’t with his wife’s aunt, but it was with her best friend and his ex-girlfriend.

He doesn’t seem inclined to tell her the truth about his own transgression, but he is angry with her for not doing the same. But hypocrisy runs deep through the Corinthos family, and it seems nurture won out over nature when it comes to how much Sonny rubbed off on Michael.

General Hospital Spoilers — Feelings First

Logically, it makes the most sense that Michael should air what he knows and call his wife out for lying to him from the start. Even when she came clean, it was all pretend — and truthfully, it was Drew who fessed up, not her.

Michael may be more bitter about that than he realizes, but nothing could have prepared him for seeing Drew and Willow embroiled in passion on video like he did.
