General Hospital Spoilers: Lucas Still Cares About Brad, Claims He’ll Never Forgive Him, But Will Love Win Out?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that in Port Charles, NY Lucas Jones (Matt Trudeau) still cares about Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), his now ex-husband. He says that he will never forgive him, but will love to win out?

General Hospital Spoilers – Lucas Broke Up With Brad When The Truth About Wiley Corinthos Came Out

General Hospital viewers will recall that Lucas (Matt Trudeau) broke up with Brad (Parry Shen) when the truth about Wiley Corinthos (Erik and Theodore Olson) came out. Brad and Lucas had adopted Willow Tait Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) baby with the late Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) but sadly, the little one died of crib death. Brad was alone when it happened, and Lucas was at work. Lucas had met the baby one time before his death, when he and Brad brought him home.

They had their baby for maybe a day or two when Lucas had a shift at GH, and Brad found the baby dead in his crib. Brad panicked, and didn’t know how to tell Lucas and drove around in the country, heartbroken, in his car with the baby in the back seat. Meanwhile, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) had also given birth to her and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) baby, after running into a fugitive Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) in the woods, and Liesl delivered the baby boy. Not long after, Brad saw Nelle and the baby boy and pulled over.

After finding out the baby he and Lucas adopted was dead, and fearing she may be caught by police and her baby would go to the Corinthos family, she talked Brad into swapping his and Lucas’ dead baby with her live one! The lie went on for over a year, with Brad becoming more and more guilt-ridden and more and more nervous.

GH Spoilers – Now Things Have Come Full Circle For Brad Regarding His Lies

Brad confessed to Julian Jerome, (William DeVry) putting him in a very uncomfortable position. Julian, at one point, was so fed up with Brad and his putting him into these kinds of situations, decided to rig the brakes on Brad’s car one night to kill him. The only problem was, even though he had checked Lucas’ schedule beforehand, plans changed, and Lucas was in the car! They became involved in a wreck with a car in which Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was nearly run over by and Lucas had a head injury.

He and Brad had been arguing in the car about Brad’s lying, and Brad finally told Lucas the truth, but because of the wreck, he had a head injury and lost his memory for several months. He and Lucas were in a family gathering when Lucas remembered and that was when he broke up with him! Things have come full circle for Brad regarding his lies – the reason that he is now in GH to begin with is that he was stabbed in Pentonville Prison by a henchman of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) so the secret wouldn’t come out that Julian knew the whole time!

As luck would have it, Lucas was assigned Brad’s case—probably with a little help from Brad’s bestie, and General Hospital Chief of Staff Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Lucas was visibly disturbed when he saw his ex-husband had been stabbed! Britt explained the situation of what happened to Brad, and she could tell that he still cares for Brad. Lucas made the best of it and treated Brad, who was surprised to see him, and apologized profusely for hurting him so badly. But Lucas was visibly worried.

Britt called him on his worry, telling him she could tell that he still cared about Lucas. Lucas assured Brad he would make a full recovery, and he would be okay; and even though he said out loud he would never forgive him, there was that little pause and that look on his face before he exited the room! Will love win out after all, and once Brad is exonerated, will he and Lucas reconcile?
