General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a key player in the baby swap storyline will be back on canvas in the coming days. As GH viewers know, Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) has been in a coma for several weeks now, ever since the terrible car accident that nearly took his life.

Of course, that accident occurred because Julian Jerome (William deVry) tampered with the brakes on Brad Cooper’s (Parry Shen) car.

General Hospital Spoilers – Brad Cooper Fears That Lucas Jones Will Remember His Confession

Both Julian and Brad have been on pins and needles since the accident. Julian feels immeasurable guilt for inadvertently causing his son’s injuries. He intended for Brad to be in the car alone at the time of the accident, so he was devastated to learn that Lucas was in the car and suffered the brunt of the injuries. And Brad just wants his husband to wake up and be ok…but there’s a twist.

As GH viewers know, in the moments leading up to the accident, Brad confessed the baby swap to Lucas. He didn’t get all the details out, but he said enough for Julian to get the picture that their baby, Wiley Cooper-Jones (Theo and Erik Olson), was really the biological child of Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier). Lucas was horrified.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Lucas will indeed regain consciousness, and Brad, Julian, and the rest of Lucas’ family will be overjoyed. But will he remember Brad’s confession and the fact that Wiley really belongs to someone else?

Since Lucas has suffered serious head trauma, there’s the very real possibility that he won’t remember Brad’s confession, or anything leading up to the accident. And that’s probably what Brad is hoping at this point. But even if Lucas wakes up and had no memory of the accident initially, that doesn’t mean that he won’t eventually start to recall some details. Sometimes memories come back slowly, or in flashes, and Lucas could remember Brad’s confession down the line.

Well, this all will be happening at a time when it seems likely that the big GH baby swap reveal could be becoming. Now that Nelle is out of prison and back in action in Port Charles, it seems like it will only be a matter of time before the truth comes out. But who will end up blowing the whole thing wide open? Will it be Nelle or Lucas who reveals the truth…or perhaps someone else?
