General Hospital Spoilers: Lucky Returns-Greg Vaughan Reprises The Role?General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Lucky Spencer (most recently Jonathan Jackson) will return to the ABC soap this November, but the role will be recast with another actor.

Greg Vaughan, who has played Kial Rollins on Beyond The Gates most recently, has been said to be reprising the role.

Greg Vaughan Will Soon Be Leaving Beyond The Gates

Greg will soon be leaving CBS’s Beyond The Gates, which airs at the same time as General Hospital on ABC, at least when he’s filming GH. He’s always been recurring on the CBS soap, and played Lucky on GH from 2003 through 2009.

Jonathan Jackson, who originated the role as a child, has played Lucky on and off, and the last time, he ended his stint early.

Fans who watch NBC Peacock’s Days of Our Lives will also remember Greg for his years playing Eric Brady, he came and went several times during his history on the show. No further details have been released, except he will start in November, so consider this a possible leak!

Greg’s Storylines As Lucky On GH

It was during Greg’s iteration of Lucky that he worked as a Port Charles Detective and finally married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).

Their marriage didn’t work out, due to the stresses of his becoming addicted to drugs, and even an affair with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).

Also affecting Lucky deeply was his inability to protect Jake Webber (Hudson West) who was believed to have been run over and killed by Luke Spencer, (Anthony Geary) driving drunk.

It wasn’t until many years later that it was revealed Jake never died, he was kidnapped by Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) and Lucky, then again played by Jonathan Jackson, rescued and brought him home.

In between times of Greg’s exit as Lucky and Jonathan’s temporary return, he was said to be living in Ireland.

Greg’s Other Roles

In between playing Lucky on General Hospital and Eric on Days of Our Lives, Greg also played Diego Guttierez on CBS’s The Young and The Restless. He took a break from daytime soaps to play a character named Calvin in “Queen Sugar” from 2016-2022. 

He played Dan Gordon in “Charmed” as well from 1999-2000, and in his IMDB account, it shows only one more episode as Kial Rollins in Beyond The Gates.

Is there a possibility he may have some other irons in the fire in between now and when he is said to return as Lucky in November 2026?

Absolutely-several characters in DOOL’s Eric Brady’s family are returning-perhaps, even though it’s not been announced, Greg may pop in as Eric too.
