General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest a massive return could be on the horizon. During the July 28th edition of the soap, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) took Charlotte Cassadine (portrayed by the original actress who entered the role, Scarlett Fernandez) to visit Lulu Spencer, who’s still in a coma.

General Hospital Spoilers – Lulu Spencer Has Been In A Coma For Years
In December 2020, Lulu was sent to a facility due to injuries sustained from an explosion at the Floating Rib, all thanks to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). She was diagnosed with a coma that she would likely suffer indefinitely.
There were so many moving pieces running fast and furiously during that time. She and Dante were very close to an official reunion, while at the same time, her then-boyfriend Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) had passed away from the bar’s explosion, as well.
This made it all that more shocking that Lulu was written out of storylines as many fans wanted to see the Lante super couple come back together.

Actress Emme Rylan was in the role when this all went down and made it crystal-clear to fans on her Instagram that she did not leave the show but was let go.
GH Spoilers – All Arrows Point To A Lulu Spencer Return
There were many interesting parts to the July 28th scene of Charlotte and Dante’s visit, which seemingly hint at a Lulu Spencer return.
First and foremost, the fact that Scarlett Fernandez was brought back to play Charlotte, “the Charlotte” that lost her mom back in 2020 is something to consider.

The role of Charlotte has dealt with many recasts since 2021, being played by Amelia McLain for a couple of years, and more recently (for one episode) AnaSofia Bianchi, early this year.
Bringing back the OG Charlotte speaks volumes as a possible way to re-introduce Lulu into storylines and the history the mom and daughter share.
Plus, Dante has sworn up and down to Sam that he was over Lulu before she fell into a coma, and if she were to wake up, it wouldn’t change things between him; however, his reaction to seeing Lulu last week told a different story.

But, who would play Lulu upon her return? Emme could reprise her role, but she hasn’t been the only Lulu to grace GH screens. Actress Julie Marie Berman also was in the role from 2005 to 2013, was a fan favorite, and snagged three Daytime Emmys while in the part.
Then again, the show could bring back a new actress and recast the character. This could also explain why producers brought the original Charlotte back. She helps add familiarity to the family dynamic and could assist in easing a new actress into the arc, along with Dominic.
