General Hospital Spoilers: Maggie Fitzgerald Is…Sarah Webber?!

General Hospital spoilers tease when Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) first came to Port Charles to help Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) torment his stepmother, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), no one could have guessed where they would all end up and how severely Esme would come to target the Cassadine family.

In the midst of trying to decipher what was behind Esme’s motives, Spencer asked Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to look into the whereabouts of Esme’s nanny, Maggie Fitzgerald. Maggie was someone Esme seemed to be at least halfway honest with, and she obviously had an emotional attachment to her, noting Maggie raised her after her adoptive parents died. However, Sam has never been able to track Maggie down…until now.

General Hospital Spoilers — What We Know About Maggie Fitzgerald

So far, we know very little about Maggie. She was writing back and forth to Esme, but it appeared to be infrequent. Esme cut contact with her at some point, and the information Esme was giving to Maggie wasn’t always transparent. Furthermore, Maggie seemed concerned about Esme, especially with regard to her birth father and tracking him down. Maggie might not know Esme’s birth father is Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), but she knew he was known to have been in Port Charles at some point. Her words on paper came across like she was tiptoeing around Esme and trying to encourage her while not casting any criticism her way. This may be telling about the relationship they had. Did Esme rule this nanny?

GH Spoilers – Hint We Know Just As Little About Sarah Webber 

Sarah Webber (Sarah Laine) hasn’t been in Port Charles since 2002. When she jumped ship, she had no intention of coming back around. During her five year stay, she fell hard for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Sarah played a lot of games as a young girl, and some might say she picked up some less than favorable traits from her parents. She went to great lengths to deter Nikolas from getting close to other women, like Emily Quartermaine (Natalia Livingston) and her own sister, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Sarah had a mean streak and Elizabeth knew it well.

General Hospital Spoilers — Will Elizabeth Webber Put It Together?

More recently, we know Sarah called GH to check on her sister. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) was worried about Elizabeth and wanted to glean some insight from people who might know best how to deal with the issues she was facing. Knowing she was estranged for 25 years from her parents, Jeff Webber (William R. Moses) and Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby), Finn went looking for Sarah. We heard her briefly on the phone but nothing else came of this encounter.

However, we know that throughout GH history, when an old character’s name resurfaces, it’s often because they’re about to make a major comeback. With Liz getting tangled up in Nikolas’ affair with Esme and claiming to be having his baby, this might be the perfect time for Maggie to come to Port Charles. That being said, it could also be the perfect time for Liz to welcome her sister back into her life. The only problem is, they might be the same person. Will Sarah resort to her old ways and drive a wedge between Liz and Nik while she lurks the halls of Wyndemere hoping to find Esme? Stay tuned for more General Hospital news and spoilers to find out!
