General Hospital spoilers tease that Marc Anthony Samuel, Felix DuBois on GH, has suffered a heartbreaking loss in the death of his father, a stage actor in Chicago.

General Hospital’s Marc Anthony Samuel Talks About His Father

Marc spoke of his father’s death on Instagram, saying “Glad he knew how much I loved him. Glad I know how much he loved me. Best dad ever.” He also spoke of his father’s reaction in an interview for “welovesoaps.net” to his coming to General Hospital in the role of Felix, a nurse who at the time was in competition for Dr. Lucas Jones’, played by Ryan Carnes, affections with a lab tech, Brad Cooper, played by Parry Shen.

He said in that interview, “My father was huge about this, when I told him I got the role he said I don’t want you to play a caricature, I don’t want you to do anything that dishonors yourself and dishonors the LGBTQ community. You’ve got to be real, be honest. And I knew that already. My dad had my back about this, but I told him there’s a good writer who understands what’s going on and an executive producer that understands what’s going on. I think they are going to do us right. He said okay, go get that job.” Marc obviously cherished his father’s words and encouragement at that time.
