Hospital Video on Instagram
Coloma, 46, posted a video of himself in a hospital room on Instagram. The actor also posted some media of him attending physical therapy.
The GH alum opened up to his followers about his health journey, including the scary heart condition that was threatening to cut his life short.
Leaving General Hospital
The actor explained that several years ago, he had done 300 episodes of a certain TV show. Although he never had problems memorizing lines before, he suddenly started forgetting them.
He became extremely fatigued and had trouble determining what exactly was going on. That does sound terrifying!

Instead of the symptoms getting better, Marcus realized it was getting worse. Not only would he experience mental fog, but he would have to lie down by 1 or 2 pm.
Physical Therapist Hero
The actor went to a physical therapist, who he now credits with saving his life. At the visit, the PT noticed that the actor’s heart was not beating as it should.
Coloma’s heart was berating at a resting rate of 110. That’s pretty high and the actor said that the heart only has a certain number of beats in a lifetime. So, the condition was actually cutting Coloma’s lifespan.

Heart Birth Defect
After that visit, Coloma went to urgent care as well as several specialists. The actor discovered that he has a birth defect in his heart.
That was the bad news, but there is a silver lining. Surgery fixed the issue, and Coloma is going to be just fine.
“I was going through about two or three years where I thought I was dying, getting dementia, or maybe just getting old. I didn’t know what was going on.”
New Health Journey
The experience has Coloma taking a serious look at his health, and he’s on a journey to get healthy all-around.
Now that Coloma’s heart defect is corrected, it has also given him a new perspective.
“I think the biggest gift out of all of this was an appreciation for life, and friends, and for people out there who helped me get back up.”
Marcus’ experience is a reminder for people not to just assume their symptoms are old age or “just stress.”

Carly should leave Jason alone he has a love interest of his own and he and Britt were a great match. Carly does not
have to be the center of it all with all the men on the set. Get your own life with Sonny and leave the rest to other characters.
